Abstract

An electronic device comprising: a display configured to output image data; and at least one processor configured to: detect an input; select a portion of the image data based on the input; and generate a preview of the image data based on the selected portion.

Claims

1. An electronic device comprising:

a display configured to output image data; and

at least one processor configured to;

detect an input;

select a portion of the image data based on the input; and

generate a preview of the image data based on the selected portion.

2. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the input includes a gesture for displaying a layer, and a gesture specifying a focus area.

3. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the input includes a plurality of touches and the preview is generated based on each touch'"'"'s respective location.

4. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the preview includes the selected portion of the image data and an image layer that is generated in response to the input.

5. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the preview includes a focus area that is specified by the input.

6. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein, when the input includes a gesture specifying a focus area and a gesture specifying a preview data area, the preview includes both the focus area and the preview data area.

7. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein, the processor is further configured to generate location information corresponding to the input, the preview being generated based on the location information.

8. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein, the selected portion of the image data is one in which the input is received.

9. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the image data includes video and the selected portion of the image data includes a plurality of frames from the video.

10. A method in an electronic device, comprising:

outputting image data comprising at least one frame;

detecting, by the electronic device, an input;

selecting, by the electronic device, a portion of the image data based on the input; and

generating, by the electronic device, a preview of the image data based on the selected portion.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the input includes a gesture for displaying a layer, and a gesture specifying a focus area.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the input includes a plurality of touches and the preview is generated based on each touch'"'"'s respective location.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein the preview includes the selected portion of the image data and an image layer that is generated in response to the input.

14. The method of claim 10, wherein the preview includes a focus area that is specified by the input.

15. The method of claim 10, wherein, when the input includes a gesture specifying a focus area and a gesture specifying a preview data area, the preview includes both the focus area and the preview data area.

16. The method of claim 10, further comprising generating location information corresponding to the input, the preview being generated based on the location information.

17. The method of claim 10, wherein, the selected portion of the image data is one in which the input is received.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein the image data includes video and the selected portion of the image data includes a plurality of frames from the video.

19. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising one or more processor executable instructions which when executed by at least one processor cause the processor to perform a process comprising the steps of:

outputting image data comprising at least one frame;

detecting an input;

selecting a portion of the image data based on the input; and

generating a preview of the image data based on the selected portion.
