Abstract
The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for conducting a transaction—such as the purchase of goods and services—including the collection, conversion, storage, tagging and the integration of a live inventory system, mark-up, mark-down system, live auction, and bartering system in an interactive software application, virtual world, social network, commercial and/or game application, which provides a real world experience to the user.

7. An inventory tracking system comprising:

an input device which captures at least one image and which transfers said image in an image file to an inventory storage device; wherein said inventory storage device is one of internal to said input device or on a separate storage system; a tracking mechanism attached to an article, said tracking mechanism which includes one of a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or chip, a bar code, a metallic ink, a company thread, a company anti-counterfeiting dust, an ink, or a GPS system; a scanning device which recognizes said tracking mechanism, said scanning device which one of sends a signal to said inventory storage device, or uploads information from said tracking mechanism along with said image to said input device; and a virtual thematic environment displayed on a computer display, said virtual thematic environment which utilizes said inventory storage device to virtually display said image of said article and said information from said tracking mechanism. - View Dependent Claims (8)

9. A training system comprising:

a virtual thematic environment displayed on a computer display, said virtual thematic environment which utilizes an inventory storage device to virtually display images of articles and information on said articles; a tagging mechanism which tags each of said images with a removable ticket inventory identification, such that each of said images displays ticket inventory identification in said virtual thematic environment; a training application which maintains educational, testing, and training information on merchandising, including videos, live applications, and a chat function, such that users may learn merchandising in said virtual thematic environment, by ticketing, arranging, and selling inventory tagged with said removable ticket inventory identification.
