communicate with a plurality of passengers to provide real-time updates based on the monitoring system; and
monitor and manage a fleet comprising the plurality of vehicles by an administrator based on data from the monitoring system.

operating a plurality of vehicles each comprising a monitoring system comprising a network interface to a wireless network and a location determining device; operating a back-end system communicatively coupled to the monitoring system in each of the plurality of vehicles; communicating to passengers by the back-end system to provide notifications and updates associated with the plurality of vehicles; and managing the plurality of vehicles through the back-end system by an administrator.

a plurality of cameras, a mobile digital video recorder, a network interface, a data store, a location determining device, and a processor, each communicatively coupled therebetween; and memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to; process video from the plurality of cameras; store the video in the data store or provide the video to a back-end system via the network interface; and provide location updates from the location determining device to the back-end system.
