Abstract

An object of the present invention is to quickly and surely acquire icon information without passing through a plurality of hierarchies.

A mobile terminal 110 according to the present invention includes a display unit 214, a touch detection unit 218 that receives a user input onto a surface of the display unit, an operation unit 216 including a plurality of movable operation keys, and a guidance display unit that enters a guidance display mode upon detection of a depression of a predetermined movable operation key of the operation unit 216, and in the guidance display mode, upon detection of a user input onto an icon displayed on the display unit by the touch detection unit 218, displays on the display unit a predetermined guidance screen related to the icon.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal having a first application program and a first icon corresponding to the first application program, the mobile terminal comprising:

a display;

an input detector that detects input by a user;

history storage that stores, as a first screen, a screen displayed on the display when the first application program is executed, the screen related to the first application program after being displayed;

processor communicatively coupled to the display, input detector, and history storage, the processor configured to control the display to display, when a first input is detected while the display is displaying a second screen that is different from the first screen, a third screen containing information related to the first application program and the first icon, and to display the first screen when a second input for selecting the first application program is detected while the display is displaying the third screen.

2. The mobile terminal according to claim 1,

wherein the input detector includes a touch detector that detects a touch operation by the user, and

wherein the first input is a first touch operation made to the input detector.

3. The mobile terminal according to claim 1,

wherein the second screen contains the first icon, and

wherein the processor controls the display to display, when the first input is detected while the display is displaying the second screen, the first icon displayed on the second screen and the first icon displayed on the third screen.

4. The mobile terminal according to claim 1,

wherein the second screen contains the first icon, and

wherein the processor controls the display to display, when the first input is detected while the display is displaying the second screen, the first icon displayed on the third screen and the first icon displayed on the second screen to be not overlapped with one another.

5. The mobile terminal according to claim 1,

wherein the input detector includes a touch detector that detects a touch operation by the user, and

wherein the second input is a second touch operation made to the input detector.

6. A method for operating a mobile terminal that includes a display and an input detector that detects an input by a user, the mobile terminal having a first application program and a first icon corresponding to the first application program, the method comprising:

storing, as a first screen, a screen displayed on the display when the first application program is executed, the screen related to the first application program after being displayed;

displaying a second screen that is different from the first screen on the display;

displaying, when a first input is detected while the display is displaying the second screen, a third screen on the display, the third screen containing information related to the first application program and the first icon; and

displaying the first screen on the display when a second input for selecting the first application program is detected while the display is displaying the third screen.

7. The method according to claim 6,

wherein the input detector includes a touch detector that detects a touch operation by the user, and

wherein the first input is a first touch operation made to the input detector.

8. The method according to claim 6,

wherein the input detector includes a touch detector that detects a touch operation by the user, and

wherein the second input is a second touch operation made to the input detector.
