Abstract

A system for preventing aquaplaning in a vehicle, said system comprising: a tank suitable for containing a fluid; sensor means configured to reveal the conditions of the vehicle and/or the environment in which the vehicle is found, and in particular, the conditions of a street surface; injector means configured to generate a jet of fluid on said street surface, said injector means being associated with at least one wheel of the vehicle; a control unit associated with sensor means and configured for controlling said injector means according to the conditions revealed by said sensor means. A unique feature of the system of the present invention consists in the fact that said injector means comprise at least one “fan-type” nozzle and equipped with a slit-shaped outlet opening suitable for creating a flat jet of fluid

Claims

1. A system for preventing aquaplaning in a vehicle, said system comprising:

a tank suitable for containing a fluid;

sensor means configured to reveal the conditions of the vehicle and/or the environment in which the vehicle is found, and in particular, the conditions of a street surface;

injector means configured to generate a jet of fluid on said street surface, said injector means being associated with at least one wheel of the vehicle;

a control unit associated with said sensor means and configured for controlling said injector means 3 according to the conditions revealed by said sensor means,

said system being characterized in that

said injector means comprise at least one “

fan-type”

nozzle and equipped with a “

slit-shaped”

outlet opening configured to create a flat jet of fluid.

2. A system according to claim 1, characterized in that said outlet opening presents an essentially elliptic or rectangular shape.

3. A system according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises drive means that allow said at least one nozzle to rotate around a rotation axis that essentially coincides with an axis of said outlet opening.

4. A system according to claim 1, characterized in that said drive means are connected to the control unit, which is configured to control said drive means according to the conditions revealed by said sensor means and in such a way as to orient said “

slit-shaped”

outlet opening essentially in the travel direction of the vehicle.

5. A system according to claim 4, characterized in that said drive means comprise a motor, in particular of the electrical type, associated with the nozzle and controlled by the control unit.

6. A system according to claim 4, characterized in that said drive means comprise a magnetic- and/or electromagnetic-system, which orients the nozzle and the direction of the jet of fluid following the commands given by the control unit.

7. A system according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises translation means that allow the movement of said at least one nozzle along a guide parallel to a transversal plane of said vehicle.

8. A system according to claim 7, characterized in that said guide is associated with the duct for the passage of the fluid, in particular with a terminal part of said duct.

9. A system according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of “

fan-type”

nozzles and equipped with a slit-shaped outlet opening suitable for creating a flat jet of fluid.

10. A system according to claim 9, characterized in that said nozzles are associated with drive means, which allow each nozzle to rotate around its own rotation axis that essentially coincides with an axis of the outlet opening of each nozzle.

11. A system according to claim 10, characterized in that each nozzle is rotated by said control unit, independently with respect to the other nozzles.

12. A system according to claim 9, characterized in that said nozzles are positioned in succession along a direction parallel to a transversal plane of said vehicle.

A system according to claim 9, characterized in that each nozzle of said plurality of nozzles is associated with translation means for moving said at least one nozzle along a guide parallel to a transversal plane of said vehicle, in particular said guide being associated with the duct for the passage of the fluid.

A system according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one nozzle is associated with activation means, which allow said at least one nozzle to rotate around a second rotation axis, in particular said second rotation axis essentially coinciding with a longitudinal axis on which the terminal part of the duct is developed in a prevalent manner.

15. A system according to claim 1, characterized in that said injector means comprise at least one pump for generating the operation pressure of the fluid, in particular for generating a pressure of the jet of fluid comprised between 30 bar and 130 bar.
