VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM WITH REDUCED CAMERA CONNECTOR POINTS
First Claim
1. A vehicular vision system, said vehicular vision system comprising:
- a camera assembly disposed at a portion of a vehicle equipped with said vehicular vision system;
said camera assembly comprising a lens, an imager and a housing;
said camera assembly comprising a first end connector electrically connected to circuitry disposed in said housing, wherein said first end connector comprises no more than four connection points;
said first end connector comprising a first connection point for a video+ signal, a second connection point for power, and a third connection point for (i) a video−
signal, (ii) video shield current and (iii) ground current;
wherein said first end connector of said camera assembly connects via a set of conduits to a second end connector of a conduit assembly of the equipped vehicle;
wherein a first conduit carries the video+ signal that is output from said first end connector via said first connection point from said conduit assembly to a video display device of the equipped vehicle;
wherein a second conduit carries power from said conduit assembly to said camera assembly; and
wherein a third conduit of said conduit assembly connects between said third connection point of said first end connector of said camera assembly and a ground point for the video display device of the equipped vehicle.

Abstract
A vehicular vision system includes a camera assembly having a first end connector electrically connected to circuitry disposed in a housing of the camera assembly, with the first end connector having no more than four connection points. A plurality of electrical conductors (such as conductors connected to a video display device) connect to the first end connector of the camera assembly. The electrical conductors may include (i) a first electrical conductor that electrically connects to a first connection point of said end connector, (ii) a second electrical conductor that electrically connects to a second connection point of said end connector, (iii) a third electrical conductor that electrically connects to a third connection point of said end connector and (iv) a fourth electrical conductor that electrically connects to a fourth connection point of said end connector.
