Abstract

A method for data retrieval and uniformalization of code events data for an elevator, comprising the steps of transmitting code events from an elevator controller to a business partner by means of a web services application, the business partner retrieving the data, storing the data in a business partner'"'"'s data storage, and uniformalizing the data, and the business partner presenting the data by means of web and mobile applications. Another method for data retrieval and uniformalization comprising the steps of a service provider storing elevator data, the service provider transmitting said data to a web services application, a business partner retrieving said data by means of the web services application, the business partner storing the data in a business partner'"'"'s data storage, the business partner uniformalizing the data, and the business partner presenting the data by means of a web and mobile device application.

Claims

1. A method for data retrieval and uniformalization of code events data for an elevator, comprising the steps of:

a. transmitting code events from an elevator controller to a business partner by means of a web services application;

b. the business partner retrieving the data and uniformalizing the data; and

c. the business partner presenting the data by means of a web application.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein uniformalizing the data comprises the steps of:

a. determining a mapping for the data into the database of the web server, wherein the database of the web server has data restrictions; and

b. converting said data to match said data restrictions.

3. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of backing up the data on a web server.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the data is xml webservices data and the data is retrieved, uniformalized and stored on a Datastore.

5. A method for data retrieval and uniformalization comprising the steps of:

a. a service provider storing elevator data;

b. the service provider transmitting said data to a web services application;

c. a business partner retrieving said data by means of the web services application;

d. the business partner uniformalizing the data; and

e. the business partner storing the data in a business partner web server.

6. The method of claim 5 wherein said data is data on elevator maintenance and service calls.

7. The method of claim 5 wherein uniformalizing the data comprises the steps of:

a. determining a mapping for the data into the database of the web server, wherein the database of the web server has data restrictions; and

b. converting said data to match said data restrictions.

8. The method of claim 5 wherein the data is xml webservices data and the data is retrieved, uniformalized and stored on a Datastore.

9. The method of claim 5 further comprising installing a manufacturer application and API, wherein said manufacturer application and API transmit data to said web services application, allowing remote access by said end user.

10. The method of claim 5 further comprising said business partner backing up the stored data on a web server.

11. The method of claim 5 further comprising the business partner presenting uniformalized data through an intuitive web application.

12. The method of claim 11 wherein the data from more than one elevator are shown simultaneously in the web application.

13. The method of claim 5 further comprising the steps of:

a. a user initiating and controlling callback by using a web services application; and

b. the user communicating with the service provider through web services to make a call for service.

14. The method of claim 5 wherein the business partner setting up web services for mobile applications comprises the steps of:

a. allowing mobile communication for the service provider with the business partner'"'"'s datastore;

b. the end user initiating a call using business partner mobile application, wherein the mobile application communicates with the service provider through web services; and

c. the web services application making a call for service of an elevator by communicating with said service provider.

15. The method of claim 5 wherein the end user can control callback by accessing the business partner'"'"'s web server and initiating a call using a web services application.

16. The method of claim 5 wherein the web server uses a single sign on.

17. The method of claim 5 wherein a standard presentation displays information from one or more service providers.

18. The method of claim 5 wherein the web application analyzes datasets, displays performance and deficiency information, and send out notification to one or more concerned parties.
