Abstract

Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a mobile strapping device for wrapping material to be packed with a strap, the device comprising: a tensioning unit for applying a strap tension to a loop of a strap, a welding unit for producing a welded connection on two superimposed regions of the strap loop, a housing with a front housing region formed as a cover for the tensioning unit and a rear housing region for receiving a rechargeable energy store, and a handle arranged between the front and the rear housing regions for holding the strapping device. The device also includes a display device arranged on the rear housing region and configured to display operating information of the strapping device.

10. A mobile strapping apparatus comprising:

a tensioning device configured to apply a band tension to a loop of a strapping band;

a fastening device configured to fasten to one another two regions of the loop of the strapping band situated one atop the other;

an energy supply configured to provide drive energy for motor-imparted drive movements of the strapping apparatus;

a housing having;

(1) a front housing region formed as a cover for at least part of the tensioning device;

(2) a rear housing region formed to accommodate the energy supply; and

(3) a handle extending between the front and the rear housing regions; and

a display device arranged on the rear housing region of the housing and configured to display operational information of the strapping apparatus.

11. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 10, wherein at least part of the display device is visible with respect to a plan view of the strapping apparatus when positioned in a horizontal usage position.

12. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 10, wherein a receptacle for the energy supply is arranged on a rear end of the handle and the display device is above the receptacle.

13. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 12, wherein the energy supply includes a battery.

14. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 13, Wherein the battery is rechargeable.

15. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 10, wherein the display device includes a combined operating and display panel that extends over a predetermined area.

16. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 15, wherein display elements and operating elements are displayable on the display panel and can be at least partially hidden.

17. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 15, wherein different information can be displayed alternately on an identical region of the display panel.

18. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 15, which includes a structural unit comprising the combined operating and display panel and at least part of a strapping apparatus controller.

19. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 10, wherein the display device includes a touch screen.

20. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 10, which includes a rocker actuatable by an actuating device.

21. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 20, wherein the actuating device is arranged on a top side of the housing.

22. The mobile strapping apparatus of claim 21, wherein the actuating device includes a pushbutton.
