1. A glass for pharmaceutical containers comprising, in mol % on an oxide basis, 69 to 81% of SiO2, 4 to 12% of Al2O3, 0 to 5% of B2O3, 5 to 20% of Li2O+Na2O+K2O, 0.1 to 12% of Li2O, and 0 to 10% of MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO.

Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a glass for pharmaceutical containers, which is resistant to delamination and has excellent processibility.
The glass for pharmaceutical containers of the present invention comprises, in mol % on an oxide basis, 69 to 81% of SiO2, 4 to 12% of Al2O3, 0 to 5% of B2O3, 5 to 20% of Li2O+Na2O+K2O, 0.1 to 12% of Li2O, and 0 to 10% of MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO. The glass has a hydrolytic resistance of Class 1 in a test in accordance with the European pharmacopoeia.
