Abstract

A method and an apparatus for controlling an interrupt in a portable terminal are provided. The method includes executing an application based on user'"'"'s control, determining whether an event occurs during the application execution, displaying information representing the event occurrence on a screen while continuing the application execution, and determining whether to interrupt the application by the event based on user'"'"'s control.

Claims

1. A mobile communication terminal comprising:

a touch screen configured to display information and receive user inputs; and

a controller configured to;

detect a reception of a message during an execution of an application,

control the touch screen to display a notification window associated with the received message in response to detecting the reception of the message while displaying at least a portion of an application screen associated with the execution of the application,

control the touch screen to display content of the received message in the notification window, and

in response to detecting a drag input on the notification window, control the touch screen to move the displayed content of the received message in the notification window while displaying the at least a portion of the application screen associated with the execution of the application.

2. The mobile communication terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

continue the execution of the application while moving the displayed content in the notification window; and

cause the at least a portion of the application screen to reflect the continuing execution of the application while the displayed content in the notification window is moving.

3. The mobile communication terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

continue the execution of the application while moving the displayed content in the notification window; and

cause information shown in the at least a portion of the application screen to change during the continuing execution of the application.

4. The mobile communication terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to continue the execution of the application while moving the displayed content in the notification window.

5. The mobile communication terminal of claim 2, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on a region of the notification window.

6. The mobile communication terminal of claim 2, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on the notification window.

7. The mobile communication terminal of claim 2, wherein the controller is further configured to:

detect a touch input on the notification window while moving the displayed content of the received message in the notification window; and

,

in response to detecting the touch input on the notification window, execute a message application and control the touch screen to display screen of the message application.

8. The mobile communication terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to

continue the execution of the application while displaying the notification window;

and

cause the at least a portion of the application screen to reflect the continuing execution of the application.

9. The mobile communication terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display a screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on a region of the notification window.

10. The mobile communication terminal of claim 3, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on a region of the notification window.

11. The mobile communication terminal of claim 3, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on the notification window.

12. The mobile communication terminal of claim 3, wherein the controller is further configured to:

detect a touch input on the notification window while moving the displayed content of the received message in the notification window; and

,

in response to detecting the touch input on the notification window, execute a message application and control the touch screen to display screen of the message application.

13. The mobile communication terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to:

detect a touch input on the notification window while moving the displayed content of the received message in the notification window; and

in response to detecting the touch input on the notification window, execute the message application and control the touch screen to display a screen of the message application.

14. The mobile communication terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to:

continue to the execution of the application while displaying the notification window; and

cause information shown in the at least a portion of the application screen to change during the continuing execution of the application.

15. The mobile communication terminal of claim 4, wherein the controller is further configured to execute a message application and control the touch screen to display screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on a region of the notification window.

16. The mobile communication terminal of claim 4, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on the notification window.

17. The mobile communication terminal of claim 4, wherein the controller is further configured to:

detect a touch input on the notification window while moving the displayed content of the received message in the notification window; and

in response to detecting the touch input on the notification window, execute a message application and control the touch screen to display screen of the message application.

18. The mobile communication terminal of claim 14, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute a message application; and

control the touch screen to display a screen of the message application in response to detecting a touch input on a region of the notification window.

19. The mobile communication terminal of claim 14, wherein the controller is further configured to:

detect a touch input on the notification window while moving the displayed content of the received message in the notification window; and

in response to detecting the touch input on the notification window, execute the message application and control the touch screen to display a screen of the message application.

20. The mobile communication terminal of claim 1, wherein the control unit is further configured to continue the execution of the application while displaying the notification window.
