1. A computerized method for enhanced authentication, the method comprising:

  • eliciting and receiving, into a computer system, personal identification information of a plurality of identified human users including a first identified human user and authentication-criteria-customization information from each one of the plurality of identified human users, wherein the personal identification information of the first identified human user includes an authorized shipping address for the first identified human user;

    customizing, in a database of the computer system, a user account for the first identified human user, wherein the user account includes a different set of authentication criteria of the first identified human user for each one of a first plurality of different electronic purchase transaction types based on the received authentication-criteria-customization information from the first identified human user, wherein a first set of criteria for a first type of the first plurality of different electronic purchase transaction types includes at least a verification of a real-time location of a first personal electronic device of the first identified human user relative to a location of a brick-and-mortar store where the first type of electronic purchase transaction occurs, and wherein a second set of criteria for a second type of the first plurality of different electronic purchase transaction types includes at least a verification of the authorized shipping address of the first identified human user during an online electronic purchase transaction;

    receiving, into the computer system, a request to perform an electronic purchase transaction by the first identified human user at a location remote from the computer system;

    accessing, by the computer system, at least one of the sets of authentication criteria of the first identified human user from the database based on a type of the electronic purchase transaction;

    retrieving, into the computer system, at least one real-time authentication parameter relevant to the first identified human user and to the electronic purchase transaction, wherein the retrieving of the at least one real-time authentication parameter includes retrieving the real-time location of the first personal electronic device of the first identified human user for the first type of electronic purchase transaction, and retrieving the authorized shipping address for the second type of electronic purchase transaction; and

    comparing, by the computer system, the plurality of retrieved real-time authentication parameters to the accessed set of authentication criteria of the first identified human user and based on the comparing of the real-time authentication parameters, either authorizing an action to complete the electronic purchase transaction or withholding the authorization.
