an agent reservoir or container coupled to the needle;
a processor coupled to the position sensor; and
a controllable drive force generator coupled to the processor and configured to be coupled to the needle for advancing the needle along a path into a tissue site to a selectable depth for delivery of the agent at a selected depth.
