Abstract

A method and a device for providing content recommending information are provided. The method includes receiving first log information of an external device, generating content recommending information based on the first log information and second log information of the first device, and displaying the content recommending information.

Claims

1. An operating method performed by a first device, the method comprising:

receiving first log information of an external device;

generating content recommending information based on the first log information and second log information of the first device; and

displaying the content recommending information.

2. The operating method of claim 1,

wherein the first log information comprises at least one of cache files, cookies, a browsing history, a download history, and a search history, which are stored in the external device, content stored in the external device, and data necessary for executing at least one content in the external device, and

wherein the second log information comprises at least one of cache files, cookies, a browsing history, a download history, and a search history, which are stored in the first device, content stored in the first device, and data necessary for executing at least one content in the first device.

3. The operating method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving user login information,

wherein the first log information and the second log information are log information corresponding to the user login information.

4. The operating method of claim 1,

wherein the content recommending information comprises recommended content, and

wherein the displaying of the content recommending information comprises displaying first content corresponding to the recommended content differently from second content that does not correspond to the recommended content from among contents displayed on a display unit.

5. The operating method of claim 4, wherein the displaying the first content differently from the second content comprises:

magnifying and displaying the first content at a first magnification; and

reducing and displaying the second content at a second magnification different from the first magnification.

6. The operating method of claim 4, wherein the displaying the first content differently from the second content comprises:

displaying the first content on a first region of a screen; and

displaying the second content on a second region of a screen.

7. The operating method of claim 1, wherein the generating of the content recommending information comprises:

detecting recommendation keywords from among keywords included in the first log information and the second log information based on an occurrence frequency of the keywords;

comparing the recommendation keywords and information regarding content; and

generating the content recommending information based on a result of the comparing.

8. The operating method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting the content recommending information to the external device.

9. A first device comprising:

a communication unit configured to receive first log information of an external device;

a control unit configured to generate content recommending information based on the first log information and second log information of the first device; and

a display unit configured to display the content recommending information.

10. The first device of claim 9,

wherein the first log information comprises at least one of cache files, cookies, a browsing history, a download history, and a search history, which are stored in the external device, content stored in the external device, and data necessary for executing at least one piece of content in the external device, and

wherein the second log information comprises at least one of cache files, cookies, a browsing history, a download history, and a search history, which are stored in the first device, content stored in the first device, and data necessary for executing at least one piece of content in the first device.

11. The first device of claim 9, further comprising:

a user input unit configured to receive user login information,

wherein the first log information and the second log information are log information corresponding to the user login information.

12. The first device of claim 9,

wherein the content recommending information comprises recommended content, and

wherein the display unit is further configured to display first content corresponding to the recommended content differently from second content that does not correspond to the recommended content from among content displayed on a display unit.

13. The first device of claim 12, wherein the display unit is further configured to:

magnify and display the first content at a first magnification; and

reduce and display the second content at a second magnification different from the first magnification.

14. The first device of claim 12, wherein the display unit is further configured to:

display the first content on a first region of a screen of the display unit; and

display the second content on a second region of a screen of the display unit.

15. The first device of claim 9, wherein the control unit is further configured to:

detect recommendation keywords from among keywords included in the first log information and the second log information based on an occurrence frequency of the keywords,

compare the recommendation keywords and information regarding contents, and

generate the content recommending information based on a result of the comparing.

16. The first device of claim 9, wherein the communication unit transmits the content recommending information to the external device.

17. The first device of claim 9, further comprising a storage unit configured to store the content recommending information.

18. The first device of claim 9, further comprising an audio output unit configured to output the content recommending information as audio.

19. A first device comprising:

a communication unit configured to receive a plurality of log information, each corresponding to an external device;

a control unit configured to generate content recommending information based on the plurality of log information and log information of the first device; and

a display unit configured to display the content recommending information.
