1. An apparatus for reversibly blocking flow through a lumen of a patient, the apparatus comprising:
- a frame comprising an inner volume, a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a middle portion extending between the proximal and distal portions, the distal portion tapering inwardly toward a central axis of the frame, the frame being expandable from a compressed configuration to a deployed configuration;
a flow reducing member coupled to the distal portion of the frame for restricting flow through the lumen; and
a withdrawal component coupled to the distal portion of the frame, the withdrawal component extending proximally from the frame distal portion along the central axis within the inner volume, the withdrawal component being configured to be engaged by a retrieval device to retrieve the apparatus from within the lumen.

Abstract
An occlusive device can reversibly block flow through a lumen of a patient, such as a blood vessel, a reproductive structure, a ureter, a colon, and other body lumens. The device can include a frame comprising having a distal portion that tapers inwardly toward a central axis of the frame. The frame can expand from a compressed configuration to a deployed configuration. The device can also include a flow reducing member coupled to the frame for restricting flow through the lumen and a withdrawal component that can engaged by a retrieval device to retrieve the device from within the lumen.

11. An apparatus for reversibly blocking flow through a lumen of a patient, the apparatus comprising:
-
a helical frame comprising a central axis, a first portion, a second portion, and a middle portion extending between the first and second portions, the second portion comprising a plurality of windings whose diameters are successively smaller in a direction away from the first portion, the frame being expandable from a compressed configuration to a deployed configuration; and an elongate withdrawal component coupled to a smallest winding of the plurality of windings of the second portion, the withdrawal component extending away from the frame second portion along the central axis, the withdrawal component being configured to be engaged by a retrieval device to retrieve the apparatus from within the lumen. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
