1. A method implemented via an in-vehicle navigation device comprising:
- providing, by the in-vehicle navigation device, navigation assistance data to a final destination via periodic position fixes; and
transmitting, from the in-vehicle navigation device to a mobile device, one or more signals indicative of one or more parameters to enable the mobile device to navigate movement from a sub destination to a final destination, wherein the transmitting the one or more signals is triggered based, at least in part, on a relationship of a state of a vehicle to the sub destination determined in connection with at least one of the periodic position fixes.
