DYNAMIC INTEGRATION OF DISPARATE DATABASE ARCHITECTURES FOR EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES IN AN ON-DEMAND SERVICES ENVIRONMENT
First Claim
1. A database system-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by a first database architecture of the database system, a job request from a computing device communicatively coupled with the first database architecture over a network;
transmitting, by the first database architecture, the job request to a second database architecture to process the job request and obtain a result output, wherein the second database architecture is independent of and disparate from the first database architecture;
receiving, by the first database architecture, the result output from the second database architecture in a format compatible with the second database architecture;
associating, by the first database architecture, a custom object to the result output to offer customized contents of the result output for the computing device, wherein the customized contents are offered in one or more formats compatible with and capable of being visualized at the computing device; and
communicating, by the first database architecture, the customized contents to the computing device.

Abstract
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating dynamic integration of disparate database architectures for efficient management of resources in an on-demand services environment in a multi-tenant environment according to one embodiment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes receiving, at a first database platform, a job request in a first programming package, transforming the job request from the first programming package to a second programming package, transmitting the job request in the second programming package to a second database platform for processing. The job request may be processed at the second database platform that is independent of the first database platform. The method may further include receiving an output relating to the processing of the job request.

7. A system comprising:
-
a computing device having a processing device coupled with a memory to store instructions relating to a mechanism, wherein the instructions, when executed by the processing device, cause the processing device to perform operations comprising; receiving, at a first database architecture of a database system, a job request from a computing device communicatively coupled with the first database architecture over a network; transmitting, from the first database architecture, the job request to a second database architecture to process the job request and obtain a result output, wherein the second database architecture is independent of and disparate from the first database architecture; receiving, at the first database architecture, the result output from the second database architecture in a format compatible with the second database architecture; associating, at the first database architecture, a custom object to the result output to offer customized contents of the result output for the computing device, wherein the customized contents are offered in one or more formats compatible with and capable of being visualized at the computing device; and communicating, from the first database architecture, the customized contents to the computing device. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9, 10, 11, 12)
