Abstract

The disclosure relates to a vehicle architecture for controlling and regulating an electric drive of an electric or hybrid vehicle, having a power electronics system which is connected firstly to the electric drive and secondly to a battery or to a battery system. A battery management system is associated with the battery or the battery system. The vehicle architecture comprises a master controller or a controller which is equipped with a master functionality into which functionalities at least of the battery management system and of the power electronics system of the electric drive are exported.

Claims

1. A vehicle architecture for controlling and regulating an electrical drive of at least one of an electric vehicle and a hybrid vehicle, the vehicle architecture comprising:

power electronics connected to the electrical drive and to at least one of a battery and a battery system;

a battery management system that is assigned to the power electronics; and

a master control device that is equipped with a master functionality, to which functionalities of at least the battery management system and of the power electronics of the electrical drive are transferred.

2. The vehicle architecture as claimed in claim 1, wherein the master control device is connected to a navigation system.

3. The vehicle architecture as claimed in claim 1, wherein the master control device is configure to act upon a cooling system for the battery or the battery system.

4. The vehicle architecture as claimed in claim 1, wherein the master control device is configured to act upon the power electronics such that a torque requirement of the at least one of the electric vehicle and the hybrid vehicle is reduced.

5. The vehicle architecture as claimed in claim 1, wherein the master control device is configured to optimize a range for an expected route using information from the navigation system.

6. The vehicle architecture as claimed in claim 1, wherein the master control device configured to control at least one of the following vehicle components via additional connections:

an electrical air-conditioning system compressor;

an AC/DC converter;

at least one heating device;

a DC quick-charging interface; and

a DC/DC converter for a vehicle electrical system.

7. A method for controlling and regulating an electrical drive of at least one of an electric vehicle and a hybrid vehicle, the method comprising:

a) transmitting information from a navigation system to a master control device of a vehicle architecture;

b) optimizing a range for an expected route by controlling a cooling system for at least one of a battery and a battery system; and

c) reducing a torque requirement of the vehicle by acting upon power electronics of the electrical drive.

8. The method as claimed in claim 7, further comprising:

optimizing operation of the at least one of the electric vehicle and the hybrid vehicle using the information from the navigation system.

9. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein at least one of adaptive control systems and adaptive regulating systems are implemented in the master control device and are matched to at least one of a driver'"'"'s driving style and an expected driving situation.

10. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein the master control device of the vehicle architecture comprises the functions of at least one of a battery management system, a control device of the power electronics, and control devices of additional components.
