1. A pump comprising:
- a pump housing having a pump chamber;
an inlet and an outlet in communication with the pump chamber;
a synchronous motor comprising a stator and a permanent magnetic rotor rotatable relative to the stator, wherein the rotor comprises a shaft and a magnet fixed to the shaft, the stator comprises a stator core and stator windings wound around the stator core and powered by an alternating current power supply, wherein each time the motor is powered up, the permanent magnetic rotor has a fixed starting direction and rotates at a constant speed of 60 f/p RPM during a steady state, where f is the frequency of the alternating current power supply, and p is the number of pole pairs of the permanent magnetic rotor; and
an impeller disposed in the pump chamber and fixedly connected to the shaft so as to always synchronously rotate along with the shaftwherein the stator windings drag the rotor to rotate only in the fixed starting direction during a starting phase of the synchronous motor.

The motor includes a stator and a rotor. The impeller is fixedly connected to the shaft so as to always synchronously rotate along with the rotary shaft. The stator windings drag the rotor to rotate only in a fixed starting direction during a starting phase of the motor.
