Abstract

A method for security and/or automation systems is described. In one embodiment, the method includes identifying image data from a signal, analyzing the image data based at least in part on a first parameter, identifying a presence of an object based at least in part on the analyzing, and detecting an object event based at least in part on the identifying.

Claims

1. A method for security and/or automation systems, comprising:

identifying image data from a signal;

analyzing the image data based at least in part on a first parameter;

identifying a presence of an object based at least in part on the analyzing; and

detecting an object event based at least in part on the identifying.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the image data comprises:

a first set of image data and a second set of image data, the second set of image data being captured after the first set of image data.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first parameter comprises:

image analysis data to detect at least one of shape, color, texture, material, and reflectivity of the image data.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the image data comprises:

at least one of photo data and video data.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the image data further comprises:

motion detection data based at least in part on a motion of the object.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the image data further comprises:

facial recognition data.

7. The method of claim 4, wherein analyzing the image data comprises:

comparing at least a portion of an earlier set of image data with at least a portion of a later set of image data.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein analyzing the image data comprises:

analyzing at least one subset of the image data.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

sending a notification to a user based at least in part on the assessing.

10. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

sending a notification to a user based at least in part on whether a probability of the object event exceeds a predetermined probability threshold.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

analyzing the image data based at least in part on a second parameter.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein assessing the probability of the object event comprises:

assessing a first probability of the object event based at least in part on analyzing the image data based at least in part on the first parameter; and

assessing a second probability of the object event based at least in part on analyzing the image data based at least in part on the second parameter.

13. An apparatus for security and/or automation systems, comprising:

a processor;

memory in electronic communication with the processor; and

instructions stored in the memory, the instructions being executable by the processor to;

identify image data from a signal;

analyze the image data based at least in part on a first parameter;

identify a presence of an object based at least in part on the analyzing; and

detect an object event based at least in part on the identifying.

14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the image data comprises:

a first set of image data and a second set of image data, the second set of image data being captured after the first set of image data.

15. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first parameter comprises:

image analysis data to detect at least one of shape, color, texture, material, and reflectivity of the image data.

16. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the image data comprises:

at least one of photo data and video data.

17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the image data further comprises:

motion detection data based at least in part on a motion of the object.

18. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein the image data further comprises:

facial recognition data.

19. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein analyzing the image data comprises:

comparing at least a portion of an earlier set of image data with at least a portion of a later set of image data.

20. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable code for security and/or automation systems, the code executable by a processor to:

identify image data from a signal;

analyze the image data based at least in part on a first parameter;

identify a presence of an object based at least in part on the analyzing; and

detect an object event based at least in part on the identifying.
