Abstract

A cloud computing system includes a network interface for interfacing with a wide area network. At least one wireless transceiver engages in bidirectional communication with a plurality of vehicle cloud processing devices within a corresponding plurality of vehicles in at least one vehicle aggregation location. A network control device receives requests for at least one cloud computing service via the wide area network and facilitates the at least one cloud computing service via the bidirectional communication with the plurality of vehicle cloud processing devices.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

communicating via a wide area network with a plurality of cloud processing devices at a corresponding plurality of locations, wherein the plurality of cloud processing devices each include a three-dimensional printer;

receiving requests for cloud tasks via the wide area network from client devices, each request indicating an object or article to be synthesized;

allocating each request to one of the plurality of cloud processing devices based on the corresponding one of the plurality of locations, and wherein the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices synthesizes the object or article by three-dimensional printing via the three-dimensional printer; and

receiving cloud task results data from the plurality of cloud processing devices indicating when the cloud tasks are completed.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein allocating each request to the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices includes providing operational instructions to be executed by the three-dimensional printer.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein allocating each request to the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices includes providing time constraints for completing a corresponding cloud task of the cloud tasks.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein allocating each request to the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices is based on capabilities associated with the plurality of cloud processing devices.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein allocating each request to the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices is based on a task duration.

6. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

monitoring the performance of the cloud tasks by the plurality of cloud processing devices; and

providing feedback to corresponding client devices of completed cloud tasks.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein the object or the article is a three-dimensional object or a three-dimensional article.

8. The method of claim 1 wherein the object or article printed by the three-dimensional printer includes at least one of a drug, a cosmetic, a toy, a kit, a prototype, or a sensor.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein the three-dimensional printer includes at least one of:

materials, resources, or supplies, for producing the object or the article at the corresponding one of the plurality of locations.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the corresponding plurality of locations includes at least one of an event venue, a stadium, a theme park, an entertainment location and a business location and wherein the locations are in one or more time zones.

11. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

facilitating delivery of the object or article.

12. The method of claim 1 wherein the client devices include at least one of:

a smartphone, mobile data device, tablet computing system, digital book, camera, game device, internet television, set top box, or a digital video recorder.

13. A method comprising:

communicating via a wide area network with a plurality of cloud processing devices at a corresponding plurality of locations, wherein the plurality of cloud processing devices each include a bio-synthesis device;

receiving requests for cloud tasks via the wide area network from client devices, each request indicating a biological component to be synthesized;

allocating each request to one of the plurality of cloud processing devices based on the corresponding one of the plurality of locations, and wherein the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices synthesizes the biological component via the bio-synthesis device; and

receiving cloud task results data from the plurality of cloud processing devices indicating when the cloud tasks are completed.

14. The method of claim 13 wherein the bio-synthesis device includes a bio-sequencing device, bioinformatics device or printer that produces the biological component.

15. The method of claim 13 wherein the biological component includes at least one of a biochip, a biosensor, a biological probe, a drug target, an experimental drug, a generic drug, a cosmetic or a vaccine.

16. The method of claim 13 wherein the bio-synthesis device includes a storage system configured to store biological materials.

17. The method of claim 16 wherein the biological materials include:

materials used by the bio-synthesis device, resources of the bio-synthesis device, supplies used by the bio-synthesis device or synthesized output of the bio-synthesis device.

18. The method of claim 13 wherein the bio-synthesis device includes a cooling system configured to control a temperature of the bio-synthesis device, materials used by the bio-synthesis device or the biological component.

19. The method of claim 13 wherein allocating each request to the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices includes providing time constraints for completing a corresponding cloud task of the cloud tasks, based on capabilities associated with the plurality of cloud processing devices.

20. The method of claim 13 wherein allocating each request to the one of the plurality of cloud processing devices is further based on a task duration.

21. The method of claim 13 further comprising:

monitoring performance of the cloud tasks by the plurality of cloud processing devices; and

facilitating delivery of the biological component.
