1. A method for transmitting control information in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- generating a header including a plurality of MAC subheaders and a medium access control (MAC) control information including a control field indicating whether there are included information related to a power headroom for a primary cell (PCell) and information regarding secondary cells (SCells) reportable to an extended power headroom; and
transmitting a payload including the MAC control information and the header, wherein the control field indicating activation or deactivation of at least one of the SCells.

The present disclosure relates to communication schemes for combining 5G communication systems with IoT technology to support higher data transmission rate as post-4G systems and systems for the same. receiving a broadcast message, the broadcast message including at least one or more bits indicating whether to support a repetitive transmission count of narrowband and system information; identifying whether a first cell supports narrowband and/or enhanced coverage; and when the first cell supports the narrowband and/or enhanced coverage, receiving system information based on the repetitive transmission count.

a receiver receiving a broadcast message, the broadcast message including at least one or more bits indicating whether to support a repetitive transmission count of narrowband and system information; and a controller identifying whether a first cell supports narrowband and/or enhanced coverage, and when the first cell supports the narrowband and/or enhanced coverage, receiving system information based on the repetitive transmission count.
