- a socket housing;
a power supply interface configured to receive electrical power from an external power supply;
a power outlet arranged within the socket housing and configured to provide electrical power received from the external power supply to an electrical device plugged in at the power outlet;
a wireless communication module arranged within the socket housing; and
at least one manual control element connected to the wireless communication module and arranged in the socket housing, the manual control element being configured to control the wireless communication module to wirelessly transmit at least one control signal upon manual activation to a wireless receiver.
