A method for controlling functions in a vehicle having a wheel-speed sensor (15) and having at least one of signal generators or signal receivers assigned to a vehicle rear, the method comprising the steps ofdetecting a direction of rotation with the wheel-speed sensor (15), andactuating the at least one of the signal generators or signal receivers automatically in a manner depending on signals of the wheel-speed sensor (15).
