MONITORING PARKING RULE VIOLATIONS
First Claim
1. A system comprising:
- one or more processor of a machine;
a machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the machine to perform operations comprising;
accessing, from a networked data store, metadata of an image depicting a parking space, the metadata including a set of pixel coordinates of a vehicle depicted in the image, the set of pixel coordinates defining a location of the vehicle within the image;
determining occupancy of the parking space by the vehicle based on the set of pixel coordinates associated with the vehicle;
determining a violation of a parking rule based on the occupancy of the parking space by the vehicle;
generating presentation data corresponding to a user interface, the user interface including a geospatial map of an area that includes the parking space, the user interface further including a visual indicator of the violation on the geospatial map at a location of the parking space; and
causing presentation of the user interface on a client device communicatively coupled to the machine.

Abstract
A system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a method for monitoring parking rule violations is presented. The method may include accessing a set of pixel coordinates defining a location of a vehicle within an image. The method may further include determining occupancy of a parking space depicted in the image based on the set of pixel coordinates, and determining a violation of a parking rule based on the occupancy of the parking space by the vehicle. The method may further include generating presentation data corresponding to a user interface that includes a geospatial map of an area that includes the parking space, and a visual indicator of the violation on the geospatial map at a location of the parking space. The method may further include causing presentation of the user interface on a client device communicatively coupled to the system.

20. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, and embodying instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
-
accessing, from a networked data store, metadata of an image depicting a parking space, the metadata including a set of pixel coordinates of a vehicle depicted in the image, the set of pixel coordinates defining a location of the vehicle within the image; determining occupancy of the parking space by the vehicle based on a comparison of the set of pixel coordinates associated with the vehicle with a set of known global coordinates of the parking space; determining a violation of a parking rule based on the occupancy of the parking space by the vehicle; generating presentation data corresponding to a user interface, the user interface including a geospatial map of an area that includes the parking space, the user interface further including a visual indicator of the violation on the geospatial map at a location of the parking space; and causing presentation of the user interface on a client device communicatively coupled to the machine.
