1. A method for providing improved alignment of a displayed image to a see-through view of a surrounding environment in a head-worn display that provides a displayed image overlaid onto a see-through view of the surrounding environment, wherein the head-worn display includes an eye camera for imaging of an eye of a user and an externally facing camera for imaging the surrounding environment, comprising:

  • a. capturing an image of the surrounding environment with the externally facing camera;

    b. displaying the captured image of the environment to the user in the head-worn display so the user simultaneously sees the displayed image of the surrounding image overlaid onto the see-through view of the surrounding environment;

    c. using the eye camera to gather control input from the user to adjust the positioning of the displayed image to improve the alignment of the displayed image of the surrounding environment with the see-through view of the surrounding environment; and

    d. using the adjusted positioning of the displayed image to improve the alignment of other displayed images to the see-through view of the surrounding environment.
