Abstract

A power generation system having a high following property to follow a load change is provided. A multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system includes a compressor that compresses air to generate compressed air, a combustor that generates a combustion gas from the compressed air and fuel, a gas generator including a high pressure turbine driven by the combustion gas, a power turbine including a low pressure turbine driven by a gas exhausted from the gas generator and a main power generator that generates power by a rotational force of the low pressure turbine to supply power to the system, a sub-electric motor and power generator connected to the gas generator and the power turbine via a frequency converter, and a control apparatus. The gas generator and the power turbine have different shafts. The control apparatus receives a load target of the system and a load change factor of the system to output a control signal of the frequency converter.

Claims

1. A multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system, comprising:

a compressor that compresses air to generate compressed air;

a combustor that generates a combustion gas from the compressed air and fuel;

a gas generator including a high pressure turbine driven by the combustion gas;

a power turbine including a low pressure turbine driven by a gas exhausted from the gas generator and a main power generator that generates power by a rotational force of the low pressure turbine to supply power to a system;

an electric motor and power generator connected to the gas generator and the power turbine via a frequency converter; and

a control apparatus, the gas generator and the power turbine having different shafts, wherein

the control apparatus receives a load target of the system and a load change factor of the system and outputs a control signal of the frequency converter.

2. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, comprising:

a gas turbine dynamic characteristic model that calculates an output value of the gas turbine corresponding to an input value, wherein

the multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system receives an output value from the gas turbine dynamic characteristic model and an input of an atmospheric temperature, and outputs a control signal of the frequency converter.

3. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, wherein

the compressor includes an inlet guide vane, and

the control apparatus controls the inlet guide vane to suppress a flow rate change of air flowing through the compressor, when the number of rotations of the gas generator is changed by the operation of the frequency converter.

4. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, wherein

the compressor is configured to increase an efficiency while the number of rotations is decreased, and decrease the efficiency while the number of rotations is increased based on a reference state where the frequency converter does not convert the frequency.

5. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, comprising:

means for predicting a change of power supply and demand, wherein

the multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system is configured to change the number of rotations to match a prediction value of the change of the power supply and demand.

6. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, comprising:

means for calculating a requested load of the gas turbine and a drive load of the compressor of the gas turbine to satisfy a load target and a system frequency.

7. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, wherein

a power generation system using natural energy is connected to the system, and

the load change factor is information from the power generation system using the natural energy.

8. The multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 1, wherein

the control apparatus includes a function for outputting a signal for displaying at least a tolerable range of the load change or a tolerable range of the frequency on a display apparatus.

A method for controlling a multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system that supplies power to a system, the multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system including a main power generator connected coaxially with a low pressure turbine, an electric motor and power generator connected coaxially with a compressor, and a frequency converter connected to the main power generator and the electric motor and power generator, the method comprising:

controlling the frequency converter based on a load target of the system and an output change of the system.

10. The method for controlling the multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 9, wherein

a power generation system using natural energy is connected to the system, and

the output change of the system is an output change of the power generation system using the natural energy.

11. The method for controlling the multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 9, wherein

changing the number of rotations of the gas generator by the frequency converter, when an output change that exceeds a change amount of the load change due to a fuel flow rate control is requested.

12. The method for controlling the multi-shaft gas turbine power generation system according to claim 9, wherein

decreasing the number of rotations of the gas generator while increasing the fuel flow rate, or increasing the number of rotations of the gas generator while decreasing the fuel flow rate.
