Abstract

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a memory configured to store language model data, a communication module configured to communicate with a server, an input interface configured to obtain a sentence input, and a processor configured to update the language model data based on the sentence input and cause the communication module to transmit the language model data to the server in order to synchronize the language model data with another electronic device associated with a user account of the electronic device.

Claims

1. An electronic device comprising:

a memory configured to store language model data;

a communication module configured to communicate with a server;

an input interface configured to obtain a sentence input; and

a processor configured to;

update the language model data based on the sentence input, and

cause the communication module to transmit the language model data to the server in order to synchronize the language model data with another electronic device associated with a user account of the electronic device.

2. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to update the language model data based on at least one word included in the sentence input and relational information associated with the at least one word.

3. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the language model data comprises a first word, a second word, and relational information associated with the first word or the second word.

The electronic device of claim 3, wherein the relational information associated with the first word comprises at least one of a probability that the first word will be positioned at a start of a sentence, a probability that the first word will follow the second word, or a probability that the first word will be positioned at an end of the sentence.

5. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein, in a case where the sentence input is a voice input, the processor is further configured to:

obtain a text based on a result of applying automatic speech recognition (ASR) to the voice input, and

update the language model data based on the obtained text.

6. The electronic device of claim 1,

wherein the communication module is further configured to receive, from the server, language model data of the server, and

wherein the processor is further configured to merge the received language model data of the server with the language model data stored in the memory.

7. The electronic device of claim 6, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the communication module to transmit the merged language model data to the server.

The electronic device of claim 1, wherein, if a synchronization request event occurs, the communication module is further configured to obtain, from the server, synchronization information of language model data stored in the server, and the processor is further configured to determine a language model data synchronization method by comparing synchronization information of the electronic device with the synchronization information obtained from the server.

The electronic device of claim 8, wherein, if the synchronization information of the electronic device matches the synchronization information obtained from the server, the processor is further configured to cause the communication module to transmit the language model data stored in the memory to the server.

10. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein, if the synchronization information of the electronic device does not match the synchronization information obtained from the server, the processor is further configured to:

cause the communication module to receive, from the server, the language model data of the server, and

merge the received language model data with the language model data stored in the memory.

11. The electronic device of claim 10, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the communication module to transmit the merged language model data to the server.

12. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein, if language model data synchronization is achieved using a determined synchronization method, the processor is further configured to update the synchronization information of the language model data stored in the electronic device.

13. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the synchronization information comprises at least one of last synchronization time information of the language model data or information on a device in which synchronization has been performed.

14. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein, when the sentence input from a user occurs, the processor is further configured to display predicted words expected to be input based on the language model data.

15. The electronic device of claim 14, wherein the processor is further configured to:

generate a deleted word database for a word deleted by a user'"'"'s selection from the predicted words, and

transmit the deleted word database together with the language model data.

16. An electronic device comprising:

a memory configured to store a language model for providing an input word prediction function;

a communication module configured to communicate with a server;

an input interface configured to obtain a sentence input; and

a processor configured to;

update the language model based on the sentence input, and

cause the communication module to transmit information on the sentence input to the server in order to be synchronized with another electronic device using a different language model from the language model of the electronic device.

17. The electronic device of claim 16, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the communication module to transmit, to the server, type information of the language model or language model data of the language model together with the information on the sentence input.

18. A language model synchronization server comprising:

a communication unit configured to receive language model data from a first electronic device associated with a user account;

a storage configured to store language model data corresponding to the user account;

an account information processing unit configured to identify a second electronic device associated with the user account; and

a synchronization control unit configured to;

substitute the received language model data for the language model data stored in the storage, and

transmit a synchronization notification message to the second electronic device.

The language model synchronization server of claim 18, wherein the synchronization control unit is further configured to transmit the substituted language model data to the second electronic device based on a response to the synchronization notification message from the second electronic device.

The language model synchronization server of claim 18, wherein the account information processing unit is further configured to identify, as the second electronic device, an electronic device using the same account as the user account or an account registered as the same user as that of the user account.
