Abstract

A computer-implemented method of establishing metadata associated with a transaction in a transaction processing system having application logic for executing the transaction, the computer-implemented method includes receiving, from a requestor, request data associated with the transaction, the request data comprising data and metadata. The method also includes peeking, during receiving the request data, of the request data looking for the metadata associated with the transaction and responsive to finding metadata associated with the transaction, directly instantiating an instance of application logic.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method of establishing metadata associated with a transaction in a transaction processing system having application logic for executing the transaction, the computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, from a requestor, request data associated with the transaction, the request data comprising data and metadata;

during receiving the request data, peeking, of the request data looking for the metadata associated with the transaction; and

responsive to finding metadata associated with the transaction, directly instantiating an instance of application logic.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising, responsive to not finding metadata associated with the transaction, passing the request to an establish layer to establish the metadata.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein peeking of the request data does not find metadata associated with the transaction because the request data was encrypted.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein peeking of the request data does not find metadata associated with the transaction because insufficient data in the request has arrived from the requestor.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein peeking of the request data does not find metadata associated with the transaction because the metadata could not be worked out.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving, by the instantiated application logic, of all of the request data;

executing, by the instantiated application logic, of the request data; and

returning, by the instantiated application logic, a response to the requestor.

7. A system for establishing metadata associated with a transaction in a transaction processing system having application logic for executing the transaction, the system comprising:

a request receiver which receives, from a requestor, request data associated with the transaction, the request data comprising data and metadata;

a notification layer module, which during receiving the request data from the request receiver, peeks the received request data looking for metadata associated with the transaction; and

an application logic initiator, which responsive to finding metadata associated with the transaction, directly instantiates an instance of application logic.

8. The system of claim 7, further comprising, an establish layer initiator, which responsive to not finding metadata associated with the transaction, passes the request to an establish layer to establish the metadata.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein peeking of the request data by the notification layer module does not find metadata associated with the transaction because the request data was encrypted.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein peeking of the request data by the notification layer does not find metadata associated with the transaction because insufficient data in the request has arrived from the requestor.

11. The system of claim 8, wherein peeking of the request data by the notification layer does not find metadata associated with the transaction because the metadata could not be worked out.

12. The system of claim 7, further comprising:

application logic, which receives all of the request data, executes the request data, and returns a response to the requestor.

13. A computer program product for establishing metadata associated with a transaction in a transaction processing system having application logic for executing the transaction, the computer program product comprising:

a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions executable by a computer to cause the computer to;

receive, from a requestor, request data associated with the transaction, the request data comprising data and metadata;

during receiving the request data, peek, of the request data looking for the metadata associated with the transaction; and

responsive to finding metadata associated with the transaction, directly instantiate an instance of application logic.

14. The computer program product of claim 13, further comprising, program instructions executable by a computer to cause the computer to, responsive to not finding metadata associated with the transaction, pass the request to an establish layer to carry out the processing.

15. The computer program product of claim 14, wherein peeking of the request data does not find metadata associated with the transaction because the request data was encrypted.

16. The computer program product of claim 14, wherein peeking of the request data does not find metadata associated with the transaction because insufficient data in the request has arrived from the requestor.

17. The computer program product of claim 14, wherein peeking of the request data does not find metadata associated with the transaction because the metadata could not be worked out.

18. The computer program product of claim 13, further comprising program instructions executable by a computer to cause the computer to:

receive, by the instantiated application logic, of all of the request data;

execute, by the instantiated application logic, of the request data; and

return, by the instantiated application logic, a response to the requestor.
