Abstract

Disclosed are a sensor, which includes a cardiac impulse sensor for sensing a cardiac impulse of a human body spaced apart from the cardiac impulse sensor to generate an output signal, and a wireless processing unit for processing and outputting an operation signal of an electronic device according to an output signal of the cardiac impulse sensor, a network system including the sensor, and a method of controlling an electronic device. The electronic device is effectively controlled.

Claims

1. A sensor comprising:

a cardiac impulse sensor for sensing a cardiac impulse of a human body spaced apart from the cardiac impulse sensor to generate an output signal; and

a wireless processing unit for processing and outputting an operation signal of an electronic device according to the output signal of the cardiac impulse sensor.

2. The sensor of claim 1, wherein the cardiac impulse sensor generates the output signal by sensing variation of an electric field in a free space according to the cardiac impulse of the human body.

The sensor of claim 1, further comprising a control unit for periodically receiving the output signal of the cardiac impulse sensor, for comparing the output signal with a threshold value, for generating the operation signal if the output signal is different from the threshold value, and for transmitting the operation signal to the wireless processing unit.

4. The sensor of claim 3, wherein the control unit determines the human body as being in a sleep state if the output signal is different from the threshold value, in which the threshold value is a cardiac impulse value when the human body is in a non-sleep state.

5. The sensor of claim 3, further comprising an auxiliary sensor, and

wherein the control unit generates the operation signal by combining the output signal of the cardiac impulse sensor with an output signal of the auxiliary sensor.

16. The sensor of claim 5, wherein the auxiliary sensor include an illuminance sensor which reads the current variation of the sunlight in real time.

17. The sensor of claim 5, wherein the auxiliary sensor include a temperature sensor which reads the variation of the temperature in real time.

6. A network system comprising:

at least one electronic device; and

a sensor module comprising a cardiac impulse sensor for generating an output signal by sensing a cardiac impulse of a human body spaced apart from the sensor module, the sensor module for transmitting an operation signal of the electronic device according to the output signal.

7. The network system of claim 6, further comprising a home gateway system for receiving the operation signal from the sensor module and for transmitting the operation signal to the electronic device.

8. The network system of claim 6, wherein the sensor module periodically receives the output signal of the cardiac impulse sensor to compare the output signal with a threshold value, and generates the operation signal if the output signal is different from the threshold value.

9. The network system of claim 8, wherein the sensor module determines the human body as being in a sleep state if the output signal is different from the threshold value, in which the threshold value is a cardiac impulse value when the human body is in a non-sleep state.

10. The network system of claim 7, wherein the home gateway system makes communication with the electronic device and the sensor module through a wireless network, and the wireless network is formed through at least one of a ZigBee scheme, a Bluetooth scheme, a Z-wave scheme, and a Wi-Fi scheme.

11. The network system of claim 6, wherein the sensor module is detachably fixed to the electronic device.

18. The network system of claim 9, wherein the sensing module include an auxiliary sensor, the control unit generate a device operating signal receiving output signal from the auxiliary sensor.

19. The network system of claim 18, wherein the auxiliary sensor include an illuminance sensor which reads the current variation of the sunlight in real time.

20. The network system of claim 18, wherein the auxiliary sensor include a temperature sensor which reads the variation of the temperature in real time.

12. A method of controlling an electronic device, the method comprising:

periodically sensing a cardiac impulse of a human body;

generating an operation signal of the electronic device according to the sensed cardiac impulse; and

outputting the operation signal.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the generating of the operation signal comprises:

comparing the sensed cardiac impulse with a threshold value; and

generating the operation signal if the sensed cardiac impulse is different from the threshold value.

14. The method of claim 13, further comprising sensing a cardiac impulse in a non-sleep state of the human body and setting the cardiac impulse in the non-sleep state as the threshold value.

15. The method of claim 13, wherein the generating of the operation signal comprises:

sensing a temperature of the human body if the sensed cardiac impulse is different from the threshold value;

determining a sleep state of the human body according to the sensed temperature of the human body; and

generating the operation signal according to the sleep state of the human body.
