A method, in a wireless device, for dynamic synchronization of communications for the wireless device on a second carrier to a predefined frame structure on a first carrier, wherein the wireless device is configured to receive communications on the first and second carriers, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a base station, timing advance related information for communication alignment on the second carrier;
determining a timing advance value based on the received timing advance related information; and
aligning a receipt of the communications on the second carrier to the predefined frame structure of the first carrier with an offset based on the determined timing advance value,wherein the first carrier is configured for synchronous communications and the second carrier is configured for shared communications.
