Abstract

A watch strap for an electronic watch. The watch strap includes a strap for extending over the wrist of a user, the strap including a first section and a second section, the first section having an end and the second section having an end. The watch strap includes a power connector extending from the end of the first section and a cavity positioned at the end of the second section and configured to receive the power connector. The watch strap includes a power source coupled to the strap and configured to be charged by power received from the power connector. The watch strap includes a wireless charging terminal configured to transmit power from the power source to the electronic watch.

Claims

1. A watch strap for an electronic watch comprising:

a strap for extending over the wrist of a user, the strap including a first section and a second section, the first section having an end and the second section having an end;

a power connector extending from the end of the first section;

a cavity positioned at the end of the second section and configured to receive the power connector;

a power source coupled to the strap and configured to be charged by power received from the power connector; and

a wireless charging terminal configured to transmit power from the power source to the electronic watch.

2. The watch strap of claim 1, wherein the power source extends along a length of the strap.

3. The watch strap of claim 1, wherein the power source is flexible.

4. The watch strap of claim 1, further comprising a coupler configured to couple the strap to the electronic watch.

5. The watch strap of claim 4, wherein the coupler is configured to removably couple to the electronic watch.

6. The watch strap of claim 1, wherein the power connector is configured to be inserted into the cavity to move the strap to a closed position, and is configured to be removed from the cavity to move the strap to an open position.

7. The watch strap of claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the wireless charging terminal is transparent to visible light and infrared light.

8. The watch strap of claim 1, wherein the wireless charging terminal is a plate configured to be positioned over a rear surface of the electronic watch to transmit power from the power source to the electronic watch.

9. The watch strap of claim 1, wherein the end of the first section is a first end of the first section, and the end of second section is a first end of the second section, and the wireless charging terminal couples a second end of the first section to a second end of the second section.

10. A watch strap for an electronic watch comprising:

a strap for extending over a wrist of a user, the strap including an outer surface and a coupler configured to couple the strap to the electronic watch;

a camera device positioned on the outer surface of the strap; and

a charging and data terminal having one or more conductive contact points and coupled to the strap, the charging and data terminal configured to transmit power to the electronic watch to charge the electronic watch through the one or more conductive contact points.

11. The watch strap of claim 10, wherein the charging and data terminal is configured to transmit an image captured by the camera device to the electronic watch using the one or more conductive contact points.

12. The watch strap of claim 10, further comprising a wireless charging terminal that is configured to transmit data and power to the electronic watch.

13. A watch strap for an electronic watch comprising:

a strap for extending over a wrist of a user, the strap including a coupler configured to couple the strap to the electronic watch;

a rechargeable battery that provides power and is coupled to the strap; and

at least one of a charging terminal having one or more conductive contacts connected to a casing of the strap and configured to transmit the power from the rechargeable battery to the electronic watch or a wireless charging terminal coupled to the strap and configured to transmit the power from the rechargeable battery to the electronic watch.

14. The watch strap of claim 13, further comprising a power connector coupled to the strap and configured to receive a power for powering the rechargeable battery.

15. The watch strap of claim 13, wherein the wireless charging terminal is a plate configured to be positioned over a rear surface of the electronic watch to transmit power from the rechargeable battery to the electronic watch.

16. The watch strap of claim 13, wherein the wireless charging terminal is configured to be magnetically attracted to a rear surface of the electronic watch.

17. The watch strap of claim 13, wherein the wireless charging terminal is configured to be movable between a first position and a second position, the wireless charging terminal in the first position being positioned over a rear surface of the electronic watch to transmit power from the rechargeable battery to the electronic watch, the wireless charging terminal in the second position being moved away from the rear surface of the electronic watch while the coupler remains coupled to the electronic watch.

18. The watch strap of claim 17, wherein the wireless charging terminal in the second position exposes the rear surface of the electronic watch.

19. The watch strap of claim 17, further comprising a retainer device configured to retain the wireless charging terminal in the second position.

20. The watch strap of claim 13, further comprising a kinetic charging unit coupled to the strap and configured to transfer power to the rechargeable battery produced by movement of the user'"'"'s wrist.
