Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for performing a cooperative operation between heterogeneous networks and a device for same. A method for a first type base station to perform a cooperative operation between heterogeneous networks in a wireless communication system includes receiving a downlink synchronization channel from at least one second type base station; obtaining an identifier (ID) of the second type base station by using the received downlink synchronization channel; and transmitting at least one of a channel number and a bandwidth of a center frequency of the first type base station and the cell ID of the second type base station to a server. The first type base station and the second type base station use different wireless communication methods or wireless access methods.

Claims

1. A method for offloading uplink data by a user equipment in a wireless communication system that performs cooperative operations between heterogeneous networks, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station, a command, the command instructing the user equipment to offload uplink data to a wireless LAN (WLAN);

receiving, from the base station, information related to at least one access point (AP), the at least one AP is configured for offloading by the base station;

performing a connection procedure with an AP of the at least one AP based on the received information; and

offloading the uplink data to the AP according to the command while maintaining a connection with the base station.

2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

when the connection procedure with the AP is completed, transmitting an assigned IP address to the base station.

3. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

receiving, from the base station, information related to at least one candidate access points (AP);

measuring the at least one candidate APs based on the information related to the at least one candidate AP; and

transmitting, to the base station, a measurement report,

wherein the at least one AP is configured by the base station based on the measurement report.

4. The method according to claim 3, wherein the measurement report comprises a measured RSRP (Reference Signal Received Powers).

5. The method according to claim 3, wherein the information related to the at least one candidate AP comprise at least one identifier (ID) of the at least one candidate AP.

6. A user equipment for offloading uplink data in a wireless communication system that performs cooperative operations between heterogeneous networks, the user equipment comprising:

a receiver configured to;

receive, from a base station, a command, the command instructing the user equipment to offload uplink data to a wireless LAN (WLAN); and

receive, from the base station, information related to at least one access point (AP), the at least one AP is configured for offloading by the base station, and

a processor configured to;

perform a connection procedure with an AP of the at least one AP based on the received information; and

offload the uplink data to the AP according to the command while maintaining a connection with the base station.

7. The user equipment according to claim 6, further comprising:

a transmitter configured to transmit an assigned IP address to the base station when the connection procedure with the AP is completed.

8. The user equipment according to claim 6, wherein:

the receiver is further configured to receive, from the base station, information related to at least one candidate access points (AP);

the processor is further configured to measure the at least one candidate APs based on the information related to the at least one candidate AP; and

the transmitter is further configured to transmit, to the base station, a measurement report,

wherein the at least one AP is configured by the base station based on the measurement report.

9. The user equipment according to claim 8, wherein the measurement report comprises a measured RSRP (Reference Signal Received Powers).

10. The user equipment according to claim 8, wherein the information related to the at least one candidate AP comprise at least one identifier (ID) of the at least one candidate AP.
