Abstract

A heat exchanger for boilers, in particular for condensing boilers. The heat exchanger having a set of heat exchanging plates inside which the water to be heated flows and outside which the combustion products coming from a burner pass. The heat exchanger has plates coupled to diaphragms for closing openings present on the plates; each plate having at least two levels of respective channels for the water flow to be heated. Hydraulic connections in series between the channels can be provided on the layer closest to a burner.

Claims

1. A heat exchanger for boilers, in particular for condensing boilers, comprising a set of heat exchange plates, which, on the inside, are flown through by water to be heated and, on the outside, are surrounded by the combustion products coming from a burner;

said heat exchanger being characterised in that it comprises;

a plurality of plates, which are coupled to a plurality of closing elements to close openings provided on said plates;

each of said plates comprising at least two levels of respective channels housing the flow of water to be heated;

one of the at least two levels being the closest to a heating device and being the furthest from the heating device;

said plurality of plates and said plurality of closing elements being combined so as to create hydraulic connections between the channels, which are arranged in parallel on the level that is the farthest from said heating device, and hydraulic connections between the channels, which are at least partially arranged in series on the level that is the closest to the heating device.

2. The heat exchanger, according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises at least one plate having a passage for the hydraulic connection between two levels.

3. The heat exchanger, according to claim 2, characterised in that it comprises:

a first set of plates;

each plate being provided with ducts arranged at different levels communicating with a first side by means of a first passage, with the exception of the second and the third level, and provided with a plurality of through holes;

a second set of plates;

each plate being provided with ducts arranged at different levels communicating with a second side by means of a second passage and provided with a plurality of through holes;

said second side being opposite to said first side; and

a plurality of closing elements to close said through holes;

the number and the position of said closing elements being selected according to the flow path to be followed by the water inside the heat exchanger.

4. The heat exchanger, according to claim 3, characterised in that the lower levels respectively comprise a number of larger than the number of imprints provided on the upper lever.

The heat exchanger, according to claim 3, characterised in that the channels of the third level have a drawing depth smaller than the drawing depth of the channels of the first level and of the channels of the second level, thus increasing the fumes passage section between adjacent plates and increasing, at the same time, the speed of the water inside the channels.

6. The heat exchanger, according to any of the claim 1, characterised in that the number of openings is equal to the number of levels plus one.

The heat exchanger, according to claim 1, characterised in that the openings of the plates are aligned along a first axis, the openings of the plates are aligned along a second axis, the openings of the plates are aligned along a third axis, and the openings of the plates are aligned along a fourth axis;

said axes being parallel to each other.

8. The heat exchanger, according to claim 7, characterised in that the assembly formed by the openings and by a fitting for the connection to a water supply system forms a first horizontal duct with an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the plurality of lower channels;

the assembly formed by the openings forms a second horizontal duct with an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the plurality of intermediate channels; and

the assembly formed by the openings and by a fitting for the connection to the water supply system forms a third horizontal duct with an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the plurality of upper channels.

9. The heat exchanger, according to any of the claim 1, characterised in that each plate is manufactured starting from a sheet metal which is formed obtaining by deep drawing the two areas that are lowered relative to a horizontal reference plane on which the outer edge lies.

10. The heat exchanger, according to claim 9, characterised in that the sheet metal is sheared in order to obtain through holes.

11. The heat exchanger, according to claim 9, characterised in that the sheet metal, which has been formed and sheared, is folded along its middle line and the three edges that are still free are welded to obtain a plate.

12. The heat exchanger, according to claim 10, characterised in that the sheet metal is sheared to obtain holes, with the exception of those where the closing element must be arranged.
