1. A method comprising:
- a. situating an autonomous broadcast device (ABD) behind a firewall;
b. establishing an Internet connection for the ABD behind the firewall, wherein the firewall prevents remote access to the ABD from outside the firewall; and
c. using the ABD to autonomously perform the following actions without any user intervention required at the location of the ABD and without any modification to or circumvention of the firewall;
c-1. issue a request via the Internet connection to a server situated outside the firewall and receive data relating to a start time of a live event from the server in response to the request;
c-2. receive digital content of the live event after the start time from a digital recording device proximate to the live event;
c-3. transmit streaming information via the Internet connection to the server, wherein the server is configured to stream the content to a plurality of users;
c-4. transmit the digital content via the Internet connection to the server contemporaneously with the live event; and
c-5. receive data relating to an end time for the live event from the server via the Internet connection, wherein, at the end time, the ABD ceases transmission of the digital content,wherein the ABD lacks a user interface permitting a user to input the start time of the live event via the ABD.

9. A system comprising:
-
a broadcasting device situated behind a firewall; scheduling logic remote from and in data communication with the broadcasting device over a network; and a server, wherein the scheduling logic interfaces with a first user to allow the first user to set a start time for a live event, wherein the scheduling logic transmits data relating to the start time to the broadcasting device over the network, wherein, at the start time, the broadcasting device transmits video data of the live event from a video acquisition device to the server over the network, and wherein the server transmits the video data as a live video stream to a second user over the network. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)

18. A method comprising:
-
a. providing an autonomous broadcasting device (ABD); b. receiving and storing on a server schedule data from a first user, the schedule data comprising a start time for a live event; c. in response to a request from the ABD, transmitting data relating to the start time of the live event to the ABD, wherein the ABD is remote from the server and situated behind a firewall, and wherein no modification to or circumvention of the firewall is necessary for communication between the ABD and the server; d. receiving streaming information from the ABD; e. receiving a first transmission of digital content of the live event from the ABD contemporaneously with the live event; and f. contemporaneously with the live event, streaming the digital content to a plurality of second users. - View Dependent Claims (19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27)
