1. A hair care composition comprising:
- a. greater than about 20% by weight of a surfactant system comprising;
i) from about 10% to about 40% of one or more anionic surfactants;
ii) from about 1% to about 15% of one or more co-surfactants selected from the group consisting of amphoteric, zwitterionic, nonionic and mixtures thereof;
wherein about 1% or more are zwitterionic surfactants which possess a hydroxyl group in their molecular structure,b. from about 0.1% to about 35% by weight of one or more viscosity reducing agents;
c. from about 0.05% to about 1% by weight of one or more cationic polymers with a weight average molecular weight of less than about 1,000,000 g/mol;
wherein the hair care composition has a viscosity of from about 1 centipoise to about 3,000 centipoise.

Abstract
This invention relates to a foamable concentrated hair care composition comprising an anionic surfactant, a co-surfactant, a viscosity reducing agent, and a cationic polymer. The hair care composition may further comprise a silicone, wherein the silicone particle size is less than about 10 microns. The hair care composition has a viscosity of from about 1 to about 3,000 cps.

1. A hair care composition comprising:
-
a. greater than about 20% by weight of a surfactant system comprising; i) from about 10% to about 40% of one or more anionic surfactants; ii) from about 1% to about 15% of one or more co-surfactants selected from the group consisting of amphoteric, zwitterionic, nonionic and mixtures thereof;

8. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the zwitterionic surfactants with a hydroxyl group in their molecular structure are selected from the group consisting of:

9. The hair care composition of claim 8, wherein the zwitterionic surfactants (a) are selected from the group consisting of lauryl hydroxysultaine (where R is lauryl, C12H25), coco-hydroxysultaine (where R is coco alkyl), and mixtures thereof.

10. The hair care composition of claim 8, wherein the hydroxyl group containing zwitterionic surfactants (b) are selected from sodium lauroamphoacetate (where R is lauryl and M+ is Na+), sodium cocoamphoacetate (where R is coco acyl and M+ is Na+), and mixtures thereof.

11. The hair care composition of claim 10, wherein the hydroxyl group containing zwitterionic surfactants (c) are selected from Sodium Lauroamphopropionate (RCO=lauroyl and M+=Na+), Sodium Cocoamphopropionate (RCO=coco acyl and M+=Na+) and mixtures thereof.

12. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the amphoteric/zwitterionic or nonionic co-surfactants are selected from the group consisting of:
i. alkyl betaines

13. The hair care composition of claim 12, wherein the composition is a foam having a density of from about 0.025 g/cm3 to about 0.30 g/cm3

14. The hair care composition of claim 12, wherein the lauramidopropyl betaine, lauryl hydroxysultaine and sodium lauroamphoacetate have a chain length distribution wherein the C12 chain length averages from about 80% to about 100% of the total molecular chain length distribution.

15. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the co-surfactants are selected from the group consisting of cocamidopropyl betaine, lauramidopropyl betaine, cocamide monoethanolamine, lauryl hydroxysultaine, sodium lauroamphoacetate, and mixtures thereof.

16. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the anionic surfactant is sodium laureth sulfate with an average of one mole ethoxylate.

17. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the concentration of the zwitterionic surfactant having a hydroxyl group in their molecular structure is from about 2% to 14% by weight.

18. The hair care composition of claim 1, further comprising from 0.01 to about 4% of one or more silicone emulsion, wherein said silicone has a particle size less than about 10 micrometers.

19. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the cationic polymers are selected from the group consisting of guar hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride;
- Polyquaternium-10, and Polyquaterinum-6.

20. The hair care composition of claim 19, wherein the cationic polymer has a weight average molecular weight of less than about 1.0 million g/mol.

21. The hair care composition of claim 1, having from about 15% to about 36% by weight of an anionic surfactant.

22. The hair care composition of claim 1, having from about 2% to about 14% by weight of a co-surfactant.

23. The hair care composition of claim 1, having from about 0.5% to about 30% by weight of a viscosity reducing agent.

24. The hair care composition of claim 1, having from about 0.05% to about 0.9% by weight of a cationic polymer.

25. The hair care composition of claim 1, wherein the viscosity is from about 1 to about 2,500 cps.

26. The hair care composition of claim 1, further comprising an anti-dandruff active.
