1. A method of distributing content to a web browser from an edge server, comprising:
- detecting, by the edge server, in a file that the web browser is directed by the file to request one or more resources to be downloaded to the web browser, wherein the file is requested by the web browser to be sent to the web browser;
determining, by the edge server, a network latency associated with the downloading of the one or more resources; and
in the event that the determined network latency associated with the downloading of the one or more resources is above a predetermined threshold;
selectively packaging, by the edge server, a subset of the one or more resources that the web browser is directed by the file to download; and
sending in advance, by the edge server, the selectively packaged subset of the one or more resources to a device on which the web browser runs without receiving one or more requests for the one or more resources.

Abstract
A method of distributing content to an application from a server is disclosed. The method includes detecting in a file to be sent to the application from the server that the application is directed to request one or more resources to be downloaded to the application. A network latency associated with the downloading of the one or more resources is determined. A subset of the one or more resources is selectively packaged based at least in part on the network latency. The selectively packaged subset of the one or more resources is sent to the application.

a processor configured to; detect in a file that the web browser is directed by the file to request one or more resources to be downloaded to the web browser, wherein the file is requested by the web browser to be sent to the web browser; determine a network latency associated with the downloading of the one or more resources; and in the event that the determined network latency associated with the downloading of the one or more resources is above a predetermined threshold; selectively package a subset of the one or more resources that the web browser is directed by the file to download; and send in advance the selectively packaged subset of the one or more resources to a device on which the web browser runs without receiving one or more requests for the one or more resources; and a memory coupled to the processor and configured to provide the processor with instructions. - View Dependent Claims (4)

5. A computer program product for distributing content to an web browser, the computer program product being embodied in a non-transistory computer readable storage medium and comprising computer instructions for:
