Abstract

Wearable electronic devices that comprise an article of apparel that comprises at least one electronic or electrical component.

Claims

1. A wearable electronic device, comprising an article of apparel that comprises at least one electronic or electrical component.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein at least one electronic component is an input and/or display device having a radius of curvature of no more than about 10 cm.

3. The device of claim 1, wherein at least one electronic component is an input and/or display device having a radius of curvature of no more than about 5 cm.

4. The device of claim 1, wherein the device controls a remote device.

5. The device of claim 4, wherein the remote device is a video game player.

6. The device of claim 4, wherein the device controls a remote device via a wireless connection.

7. The device of claim 6, wherein the wireless connection is one or more selected from Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, near-field communication, and cellular connections.

8. The device of claim 1, wherein the article of apparel is a strap, band, or belt worn around a body part.

9. The device of claim 1, wherein the article of apparel is an item of clothing.

10. The device of claim 2, wherein the input and/or display device is a touchpad and/or touch screen.

11. The device of claim 10, wherein the touchpad and/or touch screen is a capacitive or resistive touchpad and/or touch screen.

12. The device of claim 1, wherein at least one electronic or electrical component is an accelerometer.

13. The device of claim 1, wherein at least one electronic or electrical component is a microprocessor.

14. The device of claim 1, wherein at least one electronic or electrical component is at least one cell or battery.

15. The device of claim 1, wherein at least a part of at least one electronic or electrical component comprises an ink or coating.

16. The device of claim 15, wherein the ink or coating is electrically conductive.

17. The device of claim 15, wherein the ink or coating comprises one or more electrically conductive metals and/or metal oxides.

18. The device of claim 15, wherein the ink or coating comprises at least one carbonaceous material.

19. The device of claim 18, wherein the ink or coating comprises graphene sheets.

20. The device of claim 15, wherein at least one electrical or electronic component comprises a capacitive or resistive touchpad and/or touch screen, and wherein the touchpad and/or touch screen comprises at least one component comprising an ink or coating.
