Abstract

A system and/or method may be provided to install applications based on location. In particular, a location of a user device may be detected. Based on the location of the user device, one or more applications may be selected to be installed automatically on the user device. Further, when the user device departs from the location, the application may automatically be uninstalled. Thus, applications may be installed and/or uninstalled on the user device based on the location of the user device. The automatically installed application may provide functionality or information associated with the location that triggered the installation. For example, a merchant'"'"'s store may be associated with the merchant'"'"'s application which may be installed automatically on devices of customers who enter the merchant'"'"'s store.

Claims

1. A mobile system, comprising:

a non-transitory memory; and

one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the mobile system to perform operations comprising;

detecting a location of the mobile system;

identifying a mobile application configured to perform a function associated with the detected location;

determining one or more mobile applications the mobile system is configured to install without a user authorization;

determining the identified mobile application corresponds to one of the one or more mobile applications the mobile system is configured to install without the user authorization; and

installing the identified mobile application based at least on determining the identified mobile application corresponds to one of the one or more mobile applications.

2. The mobile system of claim 1, wherein the function associated with the detected location comprises a function to receive one or more wireless signals from the detected location.

3. The mobile system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining names of the one or more mobile applications,

wherein the one or more mobile applications are determined based at least on the names of the one or more mobile applications.

4. The mobile system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining one or more settings of the mobile system that enables the mobile system to install the one or more mobile applications without the user authorization,

wherein the identified mobile application is installed based at least on the one or more determined settings.

5. The mobile system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:

detecting a change in the location of the mobile system to a second location; and

uninstalling the installed mobile application based at least on the detected change in the location of the mobile system to the second location.

6. The mobile system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining the mobile application is installed for a period of time that at least meets a threshold period of time; and

uninstalling the installed mobile application based at least on the period of time that at least meets the threshold period of time.

7. The mobile system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining a level of access of the installed mobile application to data stored on the mobile system; and

restricting the installed mobile application from accessing a contact list on the mobile system based at least on the determined level of access.

8. A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:

detecting a location of a mobile device;

determining a mobile application configured to perform a function associated with the detected location;

determining a setting of the mobile device that configures the mobile device to install the mobile application without a user authorization, wherein the mobile device is further configured to install the mobile application based at least on the detected location of the mobile device; and

installing the mobile application based at least on the determined setting of the mobile device.

9. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the function associated with the detected location comprises a function to receive one or more merchant offers from one or more devices at the detected location.

10. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein determining the mobile application comprises determining the mobile application the mobile device is configured to install without the user authorization further based on the function the mobile application is configured to perform.

11. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining the mobile application corresponds to one of a list of mobile preauthorized mobile applications the mobile device is configured to install without the user authorization,

wherein the mobile application is installed based at least on determining the mobile application corresponds to one of the list of preauthorized mobile applications.

12. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise:

detecting a change in the location of the mobile device to a second location; and

uninstalling the installed mobile application based at least on the detected change in the location of the mobile device to the second location.

13. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining the mobile application is installed for a period of time that at least meets a threshold period of time; and

uninstalling the mobile application based at least on the period of time that at least meets the threshold period of time.

14. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise:

determining a level of access of the installed mobile application to stored data on the mobile device; and

restricting the installed mobile application from accessing a calendar in the stored data based at least on the determined level of access.

15. A method, comprising:

detecting a location of a mobile device;

determining a mobile application configured to perform a function associated with the detected location;

determining the mobile device is configured to install the mobile application without a user authorization based at least on the detected location of the mobile device; and

installing the mobile application based at least on the mobile device being configured to install the mobile application without the user authorization.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the function associated with the detected location comprises a function to receive one or more merchant offers from one or more merchant devices at the detected location.

17. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

determining a developer name of the mobile application,

wherein the mobile application is determined based at least on the developer name of the mobile application.

18. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

determining one or more settings of the mobile device that enables the mobile device to install the mobile application without the user authorization,

wherein the mobile application is installed based at least the one or more determined settings.

19. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

detecting a change in the location of the mobile device to a second location; and

uninstalling the installed mobile application based at least on the detected change in the location of the mobile device to the second location.

20. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

determining the mobile application is installed for a period of time that at least meets a threshold period of time; and

uninstalling the mobile application based at least on the period of time that at least meets the threshold period of time.
