Abstract

Provided are systems and methods using which users may learn and become familiar with the effects of various aspects of their lifestyle on their health, e.g., users may learn about how food and/or exercise affects their glucose level and other physiological parameters, as well as overall health. In some cases the user selects a program to try; in other cases, a computing environment embodying the system suggests programs to try, including on the basis of pattern recognition, i.e., by the computing environment determining how a user could improve a detected pattern in some way. In this way, users such as type II diabetics or even users who are only prediabetic or non-diabetic may learn healthy habits to benefit their health.

Claims

1. A method of automatically determining a therapy for a user, comprising:

receiving first analyte data from a user;

evaluating the received first analyte data to determine a defect associated with the user, the defect associated with the user'"'"'s insulin production; and

determining or calculating a therapy recommendation based on the determined defect.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the first analyte data is glucose data.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving second analyte data, the second analyte data selected from the group consisting of:

ketones, lactic acid, lactate, glycerol, triglycerides, cortisol, and testosterone, and further comprising determining the defect or determining a therapy based on the second analyte data.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the determined or calculated therapy is a medicament plan, and wherein the determining the therapy further comprises determining the type and dosage of medicament.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the medicament is a combination of at least first and second medicaments.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the first medicament is metformin and the second medicament is determined by the determined defect.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving subsequent analyte data following treatment with the medicament plan, and titrating the medicament type or dosage based on the subsequent analyte data.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the determined or calculated therapy is an exercise or meal plan.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving event data, and further comprising determining the defect or determining a therapy based on the event data.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the event data corresponds to meal or exercise data.
