Abstract

A device for optical detection of analytes in a sample includes at least two optoelectronic components. The optoelectronic components include at least one optical detector configured to receive a photon and at least one optical emitter configured to emit a photon. The at least one optical emitter includes at least three optical emitters disposed in a flat, non-linear arrangement, and the at least one optical detector includes at least three optical detectors disposed in a flat, non-linear arrangement. The at least three optical emitters and the at least three optical detectors include at least three different wavelength characteristics.

55. A device for optical detection of analytes in a sample, the device comprising:

at least two optoelectronic components including at least one optical detector configured to receive a photon and at least one optical emitter configured to emit a photon;

wherein,

the at least one optical emitter includes at least three optical emitters disposed in a flat, non-linear arrangement,

the at least one optical detector includes at least three optical detectors disposed in a flat, non-linear arrangement, and

the at least three optical emitters and/or the at least three optical detectors include at least three different wavelength characteristics.

56. The device as recited in claim 55, wherein,

at least two optical detectors of the at least three optical detectors include different wavelength characteristics,

at least two optical emitters of the at least three optical emitters include different wavelength characteristics, and

the wavelength characteristics include a bandwidth so that a combination of the at least two optical detectors and the at least two optical emitters is configured to create a wavelength characteristic different than the at least three different wavelength characteristics.

57. The device as recited in claim 55, wherein the at least three optical detectors and the at least three optical emitters are disposed in pairs so as to be equidistant and so as to include an equal wavelength characteristic.

58. The device as recited in claim 55, further comprising:

an influencing device configured to influence one of an emission direction of the photon emitted by the at least one optical emitter and a reception direction of the at least one optical detector.

59. The device as recited in claim 55, further comprising:

an adjusting device configured to adjust a rotational direction of the at least one optical emitter and/or the at least one optical detector so that the rotational direction is non-rotationally symmetric.

60. The device as recited in claim 55, wherein the at least one optical emitter is configured to emit a majority of photons at an angle greater than 15°

and the at least one optical detector is configured to receive a majority of photons at an angle greater than 15°

with respect to a plane on which the at least one optical emitter and the at least one optical detector are disposed.

61. The device as recited in claim 58, wherein the at least one optical emitter and the at least one optical detector are configured to have a rectangular geometry to influence the emission direction of the at least one optical emitter and the reception direction of the at least one optical detector.

The device as recited in claim 58, wherein the at least one optical emitter and the at least one optical detector are configured to have a different orientation in a plane to influence the emission direction of the at least one optical emitter and the reception direction of the at least one optical detector.

The device as recited in claim 58, wherein at least one of a diffraction, a refraction, a reflection, and a shadowing of the emitted and/or the detected photons is configured to influence the emission direction of the at least one optical emitter and the detection direction of the at least one optical detector.

The device as recited in claim 55, wherein the at least one optical emitter and the at least one optical detector are arranged in a region of a contact surface of the sample delimited by a non-transparent material to include different wavelength characteristics and/or the at least one optical emitter and the at least one optical detector including different wavelength characteristics are configured to affect a region delimited by the non-transparent material.

65. The device as recited in claim 55, further comprising:

a control electronics device arranged in a matrix structure, the control electronics device being configured to control the at least one optical emitter and the at least one optical detector.

66. The device as recited in claim 55, further comprising:

a capacity and a charge and/or discharge current configured to flow through the capacity and the at least one optical detector;

a timing device configured to measure time;

a voltage device configured to determine a voltage at the capacity; and

a control device configured to control a process of a measurement.

67. The device as recited in claim 55, further comprising:

evaluation electronics configured to enable the at least one optical detector to include a dynamic range of at least 1;

68. A method for optical detection of analytes in a sample comprising:

emitting photons into the sample using at least three optical emitters disposed in a planar, non-linear arrangement;

detecting at least a portion of the photons using at least three optical detectors disposed in a planar, non-linear arrangement;

disposing the at least three optical emitters and the at least three optical detectors in pairs, the pairs having at least three different wavelength characteristics; and

determining a concentration of the analyte based on an analysis of measurement values from the at least three optical emitters and the at least three optical detectors using mathematical methods.

69. The method as recited in claim 68, further comprising:

mathematically combining the photons detected by the at least three optical detectors in the pairs,

wherein, the pairs are equidistant and include equal wavelength characteristics.

70. The method as recited in claim 68, further comprising:

detecting the photons emitted by at least two of the at least three optical emitters having different wavelength characteristics using at least two of the at least three optical detectors so that a measurement value produced includes a number of wavelength characteristics greater than a number of wavelength characteristics of the at least two optical detectors and the at least two optical emitters.

71. The method as recited in claim 68, further comprising recording the measurement values multiple times in succession so as to determine and/or reduce an effect of changes and/or fluctuations in the sample.

72. The method as recited in claim 68, further comprising:

using a plurality of optical paths having different emission or detection characteristics;

recording a measurement value for the plurality of optical paths; and

mathematically combining the measurement values of the plurality of optical paths with each other so as to conclude at least one property of the sample as a function of a depth below a point on a surface.

73. The method as recited in claim 68, wherein the at least three optical emitters and the at least three optical detectors are used to determine the measurement values at more than one measurement location.

74. The method as recited in claim 68, wherein the detection of at least a portion of the photons by the at least three optical detectors is performed by measuring a current through the at least three optical detectors,

wherein,

the method is applied for discharging a capacity and detecting a level of the discharge within a fixed time and/or

the method is applied for discharging a capacity and counting a number of discharge cycles within a fixed time and/or

the method is applied for discharging a capacity and counting a number of discharges and measuring a level of a last discharge within a fixed time and/or

the method is applied for measuring a voltage drop at the at least three optical detectors and/or at a different component caused by the current flow through the at least three optical detectors.

75. The method as recited in claim 68, further comprising:

using an algorithm to measure a current by the at three optical detectors,

wherein, obtained information required for a mode selection extends a measured time by less than 10% of an individual measuring mode.

76. The method as recited in claim 68, wherein information of the sample and an organism belonging to the sample are processed with a further processing of the measurement values obtained using the method.

77. The method as recited in claim 68, wherein a first individual belonging to a first sample can be differentiated with a certain probability from a second individual belonging to a second sample by comparing measurement values.

78. The method as recited in claim 68, further comprising determining the measurement values using an algorithm and algorithmic elements and/or determining constants of the algorithm.
