Charging apparatus for electrically charging rechargeable energy storage devices a mobile consumer, comprising a plurality of area-wise distributed primary contacts which are insulated against each other or against neighboring primary contacts and are connectable with at least two counter contacts, wherein the primary contacts are connected with a control unit and electrical switches for wiring into a right polarity for the charging process.
