1. A method of displaying a map on a wireless communications device, the method comprising:
- determining position information of a position on the map;
displaying, via a user interface of the device, a graphical position indicator representing the position on the map;
determining address information corresponding to the position on the map, the address information comprising at least one street number; and
for each said at least one street number;
determining whether a location denoted by the street number is accessible from the position on the map;
if the location is accessible from the position on the map, displaying the street number adjacent to the graphical position indicator, and;
if the location is not accessible from the position on the map, not displaying the street number.
