a sapphire substrate; a light-emitting structure provided on the sapphire substrate, the light-emitting structure comprising; a first conductive semiconductor layer; an active layer; and a second conductive semiconductor layer; a first electrode structure electrically connected to the first conductive semiconductor layer; a second electrode structure electrically connected to the second conductive semiconductor layer; a first external connection terminal electrically connected to the first electrode structure and comprising a first major axis and a first minor axis; and a second external connection terminal electrically connected to the second electrode structure and comprising a second major axis and a second minor axis, wherein light generated from the light-emitting structure is emitted in a direction toward the sapphire substrate, wherein the first and second external connection terminals are spaced apart from each other, and wherein an extending direction of the major axes of the first and the second external connection terminals are perpendicular to an extending direction of an m(10-10) plane of the sapphire substrate. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16)

The LED package of claim 13, wherein the first major axis corresponds to an extending direction of a first side of the first external connection terminal which is longer than a second side of the first external connection terminal, the second side of the first external connection terminal extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first side of the first external connection terminal,
wherein the first minor axis extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first major axis, wherein the second major axis corresponds to an extending direction of a first side of the second external connection terminal which is longer than a second side of the second external connection terminal, the second side of the second external connection terminal extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first side of the second external connection terminal, and wherein the second minor axis extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the second major axis.
