STORAGE BATTERY MANAGEMENT DEVICE, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
First Claim
1. A storage battery management device comprising:
- a chargeable/dischargeable capacity table that stores therein in advance a chargeable/dischargeable capacity corresponding to a temperature, a state of charge (SOC), a required charge rate or discharge rate, and a battery degradation rate of a secondary battery;
a controller that calculates an actual chargeable/dischargeable capacity by referring to the chargeable/dischargeable capacity table based on the temperature, the SOC, the required charge rate or discharge rate, and the battery degradation rate of the secondary battery; and
a communication controller that informs a host device about the chargeable/dischargeable capacity of the secondary battery.

Abstract
A storage battery management device according to an embodiment includes a chargeable/dischargeable capacity table that stores therein in advance a chargeable/dischargeable capacity corresponding to a temperature, a state of charge (SOC), a required charge rate or discharge rate, and a battery degradation rate of a secondary battery; a controller that calculates an actual chargeable/dischargeable capacity by referring to the chargeable/dischargeable capacity table based on the temperature, the SOC, the required charge rate or discharge rate, and the battery degradation rate of the secondary battery; and a communication controller that informs a host device about the calculated chargeable/dischargeable capacity of the secondary battery. Even in a storage battery system that repeats charging/discharging constantly, this configuration can correctly estimate the actual chargeable/dischargeable capacity and stably operate the storage battery system.

7. A method, executed by a storage battery management device that includes a chargeable/dischargeable capacity table storing therein in advance a chargeable/dischargeable capacity corresponding to a temperature, a state of charge (SOC), a required charge rate or discharge rate, and a battery degradation rate of a secondary battery, and manages charging/discharging of the secondary battery, the method comprising:
-
referring the chargeable/dischargeable capacity table based on the temperature, the SOC, the required charge rate or discharge rate, and the battery degradation rate of the secondary battery; calculating an actual chargeable/dischargeable capacity based on a reference result of the chargeable/dischargeable capacity table; and informing a host device about the chargeable/dischargeable capacity of the secondary battery.

8. A computer program product including programmed instructions embodied in and stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium, wherein the instructions for controlling a storage battery management device that includes a chargeable/dischargeable capacity table storing therein in advance a chargeable/dischargeable capacity corresponding to a temperature, a state of charge (SOC), a required charge rate or discharge rate, and a battery degradation rate of a secondary battery, and manages charging/discharging of the secondary battery, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform:
-
referring to the chargeable/dischargeable capacity table based on the temperature, the SOC, the required charge rate or discharge rate, and the battery degradation rate of the secondary battery; calculating an actual chargeable/dischargeable capacity based on a reference result of the chargeable/dischargeable capacity table; and informing a host device about the chargeable/dischargeable capacity of the secondary battery.
