Abstract

A content display device includes: a display unit for displaying a content in a displayable area; a position detecting unit for detecting a touch position; a determination unit for determining whether or not the detected touch position is on the displayed content; and, a content movement control unit that, when the determination unit has determined that the detected touch position is on the displayed content while part of the content resides outside the displayable area of the display unit, performs a control so as to move and display the content in such a manner that an entire content is displayed within the displayable area.

Claims

1. A content display device comprising:

a display unit for displaying a content in a displayable area;

a position detecting unit for detecting a touch position;

a determination unit for determining whether or not the detected touch position is on the displayed content; and

,

a content movement control unit that, when the determination unit has determined that the detected touch position is on the displayed content while part of the content resides outside the displayable area of the display unit, performs a control so as to move and display the content in such a manner that an entire content is displayed within the displayable area.

2. The content display device according to claim 1, wherein the display unit includes a first displayable area and a second displayable area,

the content is displayed extending across the first displayable area and the second displayable area,

the content movement control unit performs a control so as to move and display the content in such a manner that, when the detected touch position has been determined to be on the displayed content, the entire content is displayed within the displayable area that includes the touch position.

3. The content display device according to claim 1, wherein when a multi-touch is detected, the determination unit determines whether or not the touch position is on the displayed content.

4. The content display device according to claim 2, wherein when a multi-touch is detected, the determination unit determines whether or not the touch position is on the displayed content.

5. The content display device according to claim 1, wherein when a double-tap is detected, the determination unit determines whether or not the touch position is on the displayed content.

6. The content display device according to claim 2, wherein when a double-tap is detected, the determination unit determines whether or not the touch position is on the displayed content.

7. The content display device according to claim 1, wherein when a touch-and-hold has been detected for a predetermined period of time, the determination unit determines whether or not the touch position is on the displayed content.

8. The content display device according to claim 2, wherein when a touch-and-hold has been detected for a predetermined period of time, the determination unit determines whether or not the touch position is on the displayed content.

9. The content display device according to claim 2, further comprising a flick operation detecting unit for detecting a flick operation,

wherein the content movement control unit performs a control so as to move and display the content in such a manner that, when the detected touch position has been determined to be on the displayed content, the entire content is displayed within the displayable area that is located on a direction of the flick operation.

10. A content display method comprising the steps of:

displaying a content in a displayable area;

detecting a touch position;

determining whether or not the detected touch position is on the displayed content; and

,

when, in the determining, determined that the detected touch position is on the displayed content while part of the content resides outside the displayable area of a display unit, moving and displaying the content in such a manner that an entire content is displayed within the displayable area.

11. A program that causes a computer to realize:

a display function for displaying a content in a displayable area;

a position detecting function for detecting a touch position;

a determination function for determining whether or not the detected touch position is on the displayed content; and

, a content movement control function that, when the

determination function has determined that the detected touch position is on the displayed content while part of the content resides outside the displayable area of a display unit, performs a control so as to move and display the content in such a manner that an entire content is displayed within the displayable area.
