1. A method of injection molding, comprising:
- injecting a molten thermoplastic material into a mold cavity defined by a mold of an injection molding system;
actuating, at a first point in time during the injecting, a first movable element of the mold from a first position to a second position; and
actuating, at a second point in time during the injecting, a second movable element of the mold from a first position to a second position, the second movable element being distinct from the first movable element, and the second point in time being later than the first point in time.
