determining timing information for periodic monitoring of at least one other network node operating in discontinuous transmission mode, wherein the timing information is based on time-frequency characteristics of at least one downlink signal transmitted by said at least one other network node to be monitored; and
a transmitter, configured for transmitting a signal comprising said timing information, associated with periodic monitoring of said at least one other network node operating in discontinuous transmission mode, to at least one mobile station.

Abstract
A network node and method is described for providing timing information of at least one other network node operating in DTX mode. The network node comprises a processor, configured for determining timing information for periodically monitoring of said at least one other network node operating in DTX mode. The timing information is based on time-frequency characteristics of at least one downlink signal transmitted by said at least one other network node to be monitored. Further, the network node comprises a transmitter, configured for transmitting a signal comprising said timing information, associated with periodical monitoring of said at least one other network node operating in DTX mode, to the at least one mobile station.
Also, a mobile station configured for periodically monitoring the at least one other network node and a method therein is disclosed.
