Abstract

An NFC-enabled digital apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a touch screen display and a near field communication (NFC) module comprising an NFC antenna and an NFC controller. In response to tagging between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and the external NFC terminal, an NFC communication channel is established between the NFC enabled-digital apparatus and the external NFC terminal for data communication therebetween.

Claims

1. A method of NFC-based information transmission, the method comprising:

displaying, on a touch screen display of an NFC-enabled digital apparatus, a plurality of selectable pieces of information comprising the first piece on the touch screen display;

receiving, on the touch screen display, a user selection of the first piece among the plurality of selectable pieces displayed on the touch screen display; and

displaying, on the touch screen display, the first image associated with the first piece to confirm the selection of the first piece;

making a first tag datum associated with the first piece available at an NFC module of the NFC-enabled digital apparatus while the touch screen display is displaying the first image associated with the first piece;

subsequently establishing an NFC communication channel for NFC-based communication between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and an external NFC-enabled terminal in response to a tagging between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and an external NFC-enabled terminal; and

subsequently transmitting the first tag datum from the NFC-enabled digital apparatus to the external NFC-enabled terminal via the NFC communication channel.

The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises receiving acknowledgement of the first external NFC-enabled terminal'"'"'s receipt of the first tag datum, wherein the first tag datum associated with the first piece is configured for the external NFC-enabled terminal to access additional data related to the first image on the external NFC-enabled terminal.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of selectable pieces are displayed together on the touch screen display.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein, when displaying the first piece, at least one additional piece of the plurality of selectable pieces is displayed together on the touch screen display.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding tag datum that is to be made available at the NFC module when its corresponding selectable piece is selected on the touch screen display.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding image for displaying on the digital information display in response to the user selection thereof.

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first tag datum associated with the first piece is configured for the external NFC-enabled terminal to access additional data related to the first image on the external NFC-enabled terminal, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding image for displaying on the touch screen display in response to the user selection.

8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the NFC-enabled digital apparatus is further configured, to receive acknowledgement of the external NFC-enabled terminal'"'"'s receipt of the first tag datum.

9. A method of NFC-based information transmission, the method comprising:

providing an NFC-enabled digital apparatus comprising a touch screen display and a near field communication (NFC) module, wherein the NFC module comprises an NFC antenna and an NFC controller, wherein the NFC-enabled digital apparatus stores a plurality of selectable pieces of information and configures to initiate a process for NFC communication upon selection of one of the plurality of selectable pieces, wherein the NFC-enabled digital apparatus stores a default setting for selecting a first one of the plurality of selectable pieces in the absence of a user'"'"'s selection;

selecting the first piece in accordance with the default setting in the absence of a user selection of one of the plurality of selectable pieces;

upon selection of the first piece in accordance with the default setting, displaying a first image associated with the first piece on the touch screen display to confirm the selection of the first piece;

making a first datum associated with the first piece available at the NFC module of the NFC-enabled digital apparatus while the touch screen display is displaying the first image associated with the first piece;

while the first datum is available at the NFC module, detecting a tagging between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and an external NFC-enabled terminal which causes establishing an NFC communication channel for NFC-based communication between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and an external NFC-enabled terminal; and

subsequent to detecting, transmitting the first datum from the NFC-enabled digital apparatus to the external NFC-enabled terminal via the NFC communication channel.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises receiving acknowledgement of the first external NFC-enabled terminal'"'"'s receipt of the first tag datum.

The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises receiving acknowledgement of the first external NFC-enabled terminal'"'"'s receipt of the first tag datum, wherein the first tag datum associated with the first piece is configured for the external NFC-enabled terminal to access additional data related to the first image on the external NFC-enabled terminal.

12. The method of claim 9, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding tag datum that is to be made available at the NFC module when its corresponding selectable piece is selected on the touch screen display.

13. The method of claim 9, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding image for displaying on the digital information display in response to the user selection thereof.

The method of claim 9, wherein the first tag datum associated with the first piece is configured for the external NFC-enabled terminal to access additional data related to the first image on the external NFC-enabled terminal, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding image for displaying on the touch screen display in response to the user selection.

18. The method of claim 9, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding tag datum that is to be made available at the NFC module when its corresponding selectable piece is selected on the touch screen display.

19. The method of claim 9, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding image for displaying on the digital information display in response to the user selection thereof.

The method of claim 9, wherein the first tag datum associated with the first piece is configured for the external NFC-enabled terminal to access additional data related to the first image on the external NFC-enabled terminal, wherein each of the plurality of selectable pieces has a corresponding image for displaying on the touch screen display in response to the user selection.

15. A method of NFC-based information transmission, the method comprising:

providing an NFC-enabled digital apparatus comprising a touch screen display and a near field communication (NFC) module, wherein the NFC module comprises an NFC antenna and an NFC controller, wherein the NFC-enabled digital apparatus stores a plurality of selectable pieces of information and configures to initiate a process for NFC communication upon selection of one of the plurality of selectable pieces, wherein the NFC-enabled digital apparatus stores a default setting for selecting a first one of the plurality of selectable pieces in the absence of a user'"'"'s selection;

detecting a tagging between the NFC enabled-digital apparatus and an external NFC terminal which causes establishing an NFC communication channel for NFC-based communication between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and an external NFC-enabled terminal;

in response to detection of the tagging, selecting the first piece in accordance with the default setting in the absence of a user selection of one of the plurality of selectable pieces;

upon selection of the first piece in accordance with the default setting, displaying a first image associated with the first piece on the touch screen display to confirm the selection of the first piece; and

transmitting a first datum associated with the first piece from, the NFC-enabled digital apparatus to the external NFC-enabled terminal via the NFC communication channel established following the detection of the tagging between the NFC-enabled digital apparatus and the external NFC-enabled terminal.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the method further comprises receiving acknowledgement of the first external NFC-enabled terminal'"'"'s receipt of the first tag datum.

The method of claim 15, wherein the method further comprises receiving acknowledgement of the first external NFC-enabled terminal'"'"'s receipt of the first tag datum, wherein the first tag datum associated with the first piece is configured for the external NFC-enabled terminal to access additional data related to the first image on the external NFC-enabled terminal.
