Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to providing see-through computer display optics with improved content presentation. The see-through computer display includes an ambient light sensor adapted to measure environmental scene light in an area that forms the background for digital content presented in the see-through computer display, and a processor adapted to invert a color channel parameter of the digital content based on data from the ambient light sensor.

Claims

1. A head-worn computer with a see-through computer display, comprising:

an ambient light sensor adapted to measure environmental scene light in an area that forms a background for digital content presented in the see-through computer display; and

a processor adapted to invert a color channel parameter of the digital content based on data from the ambient light sensor.

2. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the inversion causes normally white pixels of the content to be presented as black.

3. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the inversion causes normally black pixels of the content to be presented as white.

4. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the inversion involves subtracting a content channel value of incoming content from a maximum channel value.

5. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the inversion is a result of the environmental scene light having a high brightness that washes out the content making it hard to view in the see-through computer display.

6. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the inversion is a result of the environmental scene light having a low brightness such that the content appears overly bright in the see-through computer display.
