Abstract

A system for monitoring a plurality of turbomachinery systems is disclosed herein. In embodiments, the system includes a monitoring system data provider, a plurality of monitoring system servers, and a monitoring device. The monitoring system data provider periodically receives sensor data over a network from the plurality of turbomachinery systems and stores the sensor data in a monitoring system data store. The plurality of monitoring system servers connect to the monitoring system data provider and provide the sensor data for one of the turbomachinery systems to the monitoring device connected to a first monitoring system server of the plurality of monitoring system servers.

Claims

1. A system for monitoring a plurality of turbomachinery systems, each including a plurality of sensors, a control system that receives sensor data from the sensors, the system comprising:

a monitoring connection system including a connection system module that periodically receives the sensor data and event data from the control system of one of the turbomachinery systems of the plurality of turbomachinery systems;

a monitoring system data provider that periodically receives the sensor data over a network from the monitoring connection system and stores the sensor data in a monitoring system data store;

a plurality of monitoring system servers connected to the monitoring system data provider and located at a data center with the monitoring system data provider; and

a monitoring device that connects to a first monitoring system server of the plurality of monitoring system servers, wherein the monitoring system data provider sends the sensor data to the monitoring device through the first monitoring system server.

2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a second monitoring device that connects to the first monitoring system server and receives the sensor data from the first monitoring system server.

The system of claim 2, a third monitoring device that connects to a second monitoring system server of the plurality of monitoring system servers, wherein the monitoring system data provider sends a second sensor data obtained from a second turbomachinery system of the plurality of turbomachinery systems to the third monitoring device through the second monitoring system server.

4. The system of claim 1, further comprising a read only firewall connected between the control system and the monitoring connection system.

5. The system of claim 1, further comprising a fleet data system located at the data center, the fleet data system periodically receives the event data from the monitoring connection system.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein the fleet data system includes a network events module that stores the event data for events that have occurred for a predetermined period.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the fleet data system includes a network notifications module that determines from the event data whether an event has occurred and issues an alert to the monitoring device when the network notifications module has determined that the event has occurred.

8. A system for monitoring a plurality of turbomachines, each including a plurality of sensors and a control system that collects sensor data from the sensors periodically, the system comprising:

a plurality of monitoring connection systems, each monitoring connection system of the plurality of monitoring connection systems including an connection system module that receives the sensor data and event data from at least one of the control systems that receives the sensor data and the event data for one of the turbomachines of the plurality of turbomachines;

a monitoring system data provider that periodically receives the sensor data over a network from each monitoring connection system of the plurality of monitoring connection systems and stores the sensor data for each of the turbomachines of the plurality of turbomachines in a monitoring system data store; and

a plurality of monitoring system servers connected to the monitoring system data provider and located at a data center with the monitoring system data provider, each monitoring system server of the plurality of monitoring system servers is configured to obtain the sensor data for one of the turbomachines of the plurality of turbomachines and provide the sensor data for the one of the turbomachines to at least one monitoring device of a plurality of monitoring devices.

9. The system of claim 8, further comprising a fleet data system located at the data center, the fleet data system periodically receives the event data from each monitoring connection system of the plurality of monitoring connection systems.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the fleet data system includes a network events module that stores the event data received from each monitoring connection system of the plurality of monitoring connection systems for events that have occurred for a predetermined period.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein the fleet data system includes a network notifications module that determines from the event data whether an event has occurred at one of the turbomachines of the plurality of turbomachines and issues an alert to at least one of the monitoring devices of the plurality of monitoring devices.

12. The system of claim 8, further comprising a read only firewall connected between the control system and the monitoring connection system for at least one of the plurality of turbomachines.

13. The system of claim 8, further comprising a network remote management module located at the data center, wherein the network remote management module troubleshoots, configures, and updates the plurality of monitoring connection systems.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the network remote management module receives an update from one of the monitoring devices of the plurality of monitoring devices to update the plurality of monitoring connection systems.

15. A system for remotely monitoring a plurality of turbomachinery systems, each including a plurality of sensors connected thereto and a control system that includes controller that collects data from the sensors periodically, the system comprising:

a first monitoring connection system that periodically receives a first array of sensor data from a first control system of a first turbomachinery system of the plurality of turbomachinery systems;

a second monitoring connection system that periodically receives a second array of sensor data from a second control system of a second turbomachinery system of the plurality of turbomachinery systems;

a monitoring system data provider located remotely from the plurality of turbomachinery systems, the monitoring system data provider periodically receives the first array of sensor data from the first monitoring connection system and the second array of sensor data from the second monitoring connection system;

a first monitoring system server receives the first array of sensor data from the monitoring system data provider and sends the first array of sensor data to a first monitoring device; and

a second monitoring system server receives the second array of sensor data from the monitoring system data provider and sends the second array of sensor data to a second monitoring device.

The system of claim 15, wherein the first monitoring device sends the first array of sensor data to a third monitoring device when the third monitoring device connects to the first monitoring system server, and the second monitoring device sends the second array of sensor data to a fourth monitoring device when the fourth monitoring device connects to the second monitoring system server.

The system of claim 16, further comprising a fleet data system located at a data center with the monitoring system data provider, wherein the fleet data system periodically receives a first array of event data from the first monitoring connection system and a second array of event data from the second monitoring connection system.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the fleet data system includes a network events module that stores events received in the first array of event data and the second array of event data for a predetermined period.

The system of claim 18, wherein the network events module sends the events received in the first array of event data and stored by the network events module to the first monitoring device and the events received in the second array of event data and stored by the network events module to the second monitoring device when the second monitoring device connects to the fleet data system.

The system of claim 19, wherein the fleet data system includes a network notifications module that determines from the first event data and the second event data whether an event has occurred at the first turbomachinery system or the second turbomachinery system and issues an alert to the first monitoring device if the event occurred at the first turbomachinery system and to the second monitoring device if the event occurred at the second turbomachinery system.
